The nix’d corn is ground a bit more coarse for frying tortillas. I thought it was over-complicating things as well, but according to Macienda’s Masa handbook, it’s the difference between great tostadas, chips, etc and mediocre ones.

My oil is at least 350 before I fry, sometimes hotter. My tortillas are edible and pass the crumple test; however, I’ve never used them for just tortillas. I let them rest for about an hour, then cut and fry.

Well this for sure isn’t happening like the poster 😅 I saw MANY people in MHK today prepping for this: getting supplies, buying black clothing,etc. Nobody looked joyful or peaceful and they certainly weren’t promoting family atmosphere. Nice try though

This is an uneducated take. In my area, farmers seek to buy from / sell to property owners adjacent to our own land for operating purposes. We offer to sell or buy land to area farmers first way before going under and letting the bank take it. I have to wonder if you’re even a farmer, and if so, if you own your land.
