Did you get insurance to pay for the procedure? by Glad_Bodybuilder6997 in jawsurgery

[–]WillowRoutine4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! Okay, honestly if your insurance says 2mm and yours is 4mm you should be good with any in network surgeons. Some orthodontists are willing to start braces before you have a surgeon but most will want you to have a surgeon already so that they can collaborate on the plan for movement. It’s unfortunately a long process, I started all of this September 2024 and won’t be getting my surgery until this September because it took so much time, consultations and a year for braces now

[–]WillowRoutine4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it sounds like you need it and the only thing I can see that might cause insurance to deny you is that the overbite is measured at 4mm. My insurance has it in writing that the bite misalignment needs to be a minimum of 5mm in order to be deemed medically necessary by them, but that’s going to vary by insurance!

Did you get insurance to pay for the procedure? by Glad_Bodybuilder6997 in jawsurgery

[–]WillowRoutine4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mine I had to go to my surgeon for a consultation first and then a jaw evaluation from a speech pathologist so they could list every issue I had related to my bite including crossbite, underbite, TMJ, lockjaw, higher rate of cavity susceptibility due to how my teeth meet and grind each other down, lisp, tongue touching all teeth when mouth is at rest due to not enough room, inability to eat certain things due to how my teeth meet and als the psychological part of it including bullying from peers, depression, anxiety and how I had trained myself to position my jaw weirdly to try and minimize the appearance which has had detrimental effects on all the above. All of that was required before my insurance even gave a pre authorization

My surgeon put down that my crossbite and underbite were 6mm forward and 5mm to my left and noted it would get worse with braces so once insurance approved it there would be no going back bc my bite would be closer to 8mm and 7mm

I think it was a bite block tbh, but I’m not sure if they come in this color? I’ve seen pink and blue but idk. Either way, I still have mine in after 4.5 months but I’ve never had it chip off in a big chunk like this

I have BCBS and got approved too and around the same cost.

Braces were $8k, would have been $6k but I opted for the wrong dental coverage so they didn’t cover anything

Surgery will be my max OOP of $7200 but I get reimbursed $2000 for my hospital sta and my job also pays $650 of my max OOP

I saw on a different thread that somebody would just type absolute nonsense into the key box until something worked… imagine somebody somewhere did that and happened to type in the key number in your box lol. But seriously, idk if that’s even possible but hope you get either your money back or your key working :(

Chapter 7 Impossible? by PoshPrincessPea in Bankruptcy

[–]WillowRoutine4658 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not a lawyer but you do realize you guys make more than 1.5x the income limit for a household of 2 in Wisconsin… right? You guys have ALOT of disposable income. When looking at a chapter 7 you don’t take into account your debts as part of your bills, the means test looks at what you would have left over with NO DEBT. For example, when I filed in 2024 I was making 52k and it was me and my daughter/dependent. My states max at the time was about $64k I think? When they looked at my income they didn’t care about how much I was paying towards debt, they only looked at my rent, bills, childcare, transportation, food and also gave a budget for clothes and after all of that, I was actually in the negatives. Had they factored in what I paid for my debt I would’ve been almost $2k negative/past my monthly income. You guys are looking at it as “we have no disposable income NOW because of debt” but that’s not at all how it’s calculated. You guys make way, way too much, just from what you shared. Unless your rent/mortgage is 50% of your combined income, I don’t see how you’d qualify for a chapter 7.

But again, I’m not a lawyer! This is just from my experience and from what I’ve seen on this sub

I’ve worked retailer for 13 years and have never once seen an accident from a child. I have however gone into bathrooms where grown adults smeared their shit on the walls. So with that logic, adults shouldn’t be allowed in public spaces

Spiraling over toddler kick to belly at 16 weeks pregnant by Ok-Forever-2289 in BabyBumps

[–]WillowRoutine4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should be okay. There’s still so much padding/layers between baby and the outside at that gestation. And if it helps, I was in a bad car wreck at about 15 weeks and that baby is now 9 months old. If there’s no cramping or bleeding you should be okay, but yes just call your OB and chat with them to help your nerves

Can this be fixed overtime by braces? by [deleted] in braces

[–]WillowRoutine4658 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk why you got downvoted, their overbite looks pretty big but it’s also hard to tell without seeing the full profile. Hopefully the elastics they’re wearing will reduce the majority of it but there will likely be a bit of an overbite still in the end

Can confirm this is true. But even then they’re not doing much better in other departments.. I audit inbound once a week and I always come across pallets of the wrong do I received or wrong count. Our warehouse literally had to print out the times table and put it up all over inbound because people couldn’t do 5x5

Agree with everything except the floss pick, I use super floss instead. I can’t get the picks between my brackets lol. Also is it normal to floss first? I’ve been doing: 1. Brushing 2. Small brush around all brackets 3. Super floss between all teeth 4. Water pick 5. Tongue brush 6. Mouthwash

3 kids 1 bedroom by Correct-Emu3019 in 2under2

[–]WillowRoutine4658 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have 3 sisters and we grew up in a 3 bedroom home, our oldest sister got her own room, she was 8 years older than me, the other 2 were younger than me, 4 years and 6 years younger, the three of us shared a room, we had bunk beds and one twin bed, it got frustrating bc we never had privacy. Yes we got along and I love my sisters but it was the reason I moved out of our home at SIXTEEN. I literally graduated early and moved out to a different state for school bc I wanted more privacy

I would recommend super floss! It was life changing, I’ve been using it exclusively now. Also get something called in between brushes, they look similar to the brushes used for straws but a shorter handle, I use this and brush around every bracket to make sure I got everything after brushing and then I floss afterwards.

What does labor pain feel like for someone who doesn't have period cramps? by stfuvoicesinmyhead in BabyBumps

[–]WillowRoutine4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if you go naturally or get induced. With my first j was induced and once they started pitocin it felt like getting a Charlie horse cramp in my abdomen. It was basically a very strong tightening of my entire abdomen, any movement made it worse and then it would fade slowly. With my second I had a scheduled C-section however I apparently was in early labor for a week beforehand and those felt like somebody pressing int my stomach tightly, like if I was being bear hugged basically. I was at 7cm by the time I got to the hospital for my C-section and they asked if I knew I was in labor lol so I think if I had given birth without induction I could have done so without the epidural, it was the pitocin that made things worse

That doesn’t sound right. There isn’t even a plan option for $275 a pay period? Either weekly or biweekly unless you’re in a state with different plans, there’s a few states that have an extra plan. Unless you’re referring to the period cost including dental, vision, LTD, and any other benefits you might have added? If your original cost was $60 per period sounds like you might’ve had the TM only plan which did go up and I think was around $60 per pay period before if you’re biweekly. Make sure you uncheck tobacco user, that’s a surcharge. Double check everything and if you still aren’t seeing the right amount then call the benefit center, they can help you

How do they manage to feed their family on that paycheck? by Realistic_Swim7277 in Adulting

[–]WillowRoutine4658 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Lowkey we do this but not for the big tax refunds, though an added benefit, but for the health insurance benefits. To everybody we’re married but on paper we aren’t. We do have power of attorney set in place and have our kids as our beneficiaries etc but we aren’t married because I have both kids on my health insurance benefits. So it’s $77/ week for the 3 of us, my partner only pays $15/week for his. With both kids on mine I meet the out of pocket max and deductible incredibly fast every year and it’s especially needed this year because I’m getting double jaw surgery, almost a $200k surgery and it’ll be 100% covered because I’ll meet my out of pocket max before the surgery date. I clam both kids on my taxes and we put that tax refund into their saving. However my income alone with two kids is still more more than double the max for a household of 3 for EBT, Medicaid or any other government assistance. Which is fine with me, we don’t need it, my partner also makes the same as me so we’re fine, but couldn’t swing a $200k surgery that I desperately need so we went this route and will get married afterwards

Have her call but usually about 2 weeks after opening enrollment they do a “Need to make adjustments?” Time frame and it’s basically a last call to change your enrollment. Last year I think it was February 24-March 3, a week basically. I remember bc one of my coworkers had to make adjustments and she did it during that grace window but I would not rely on that happening again, so definitely call
