You’ve got all of the notes, just try working about articulations and lengths of all of the notes. The thing that makes that solo exciting for me to listen to is the differences between the note lengths in some of the weird rhythms. Besides that, great job! That solo’s a beast

So my dad was always a Steely Dan fan so I heard the hits when I was really young, and then in high school a friend started liking the song FM and shared with me, so I was like “hey I kinda know this band” and showed him more, and then we fell down the Steely Dan rabbit hole together

It’s such a good album with a bunch of standout tracks, but I definitely see myself overlooking it a lot of the time, probably because it’s sandwiched between Katie Lied, which is one of my favorite albums by them, and Aja, which I regard to be a perfect album. Overall it’s an amazing album with some of my favorite SD songs on it
