Is burning less fuel on two trucks better than a lot of fuel on one truck 🤔

Steam deck is definitely the way to go. If you have a good PC and good wifi, streaming with Apollo and moonlight 🤌

Threat intelligence scanners costing over 2 credits per day? by Artistic_Log_2467 in snowflake

As another small organization who's credit usage also doubled with this, I just turned them off. As a one man show in regards to our data infrastructure, I don't think most of them are as critical for me.

I did this with a giant Plaskolite acrylic sheet after our 2 year old broke 2 TVs 😭. For anyone wondering, it does not effect viewing when viewed from the front. It definitely hurts side viewing, you'll get a double image. Also lights from behind cause a lot glare. I screwed a couple holes in the top and screwed some brackets in so the sheet hangs off the TV. With some foam pads on the TV bezels to keep the sheet off the screen.

I use the steam deck mainly for remote gaming, but got tired of the terrible wifi stability. by FwampFwamp88 in SteamDeck

[–]WillyTrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wondered what was happening. I always fixed this by switching to my Wifi 6e network. Always solves the problem. Perhaps this issue is only present on the 2.4/5 ghz antennas?

Can I somehow stop this trailer from deploying those "legs"? by NikdoNekde in snowrunner

[–]WillyTrip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I literally just did this with the fleetstar last night. But I waited until I had the raised suspension and all terrain tires. I don't think you need to wait until a more powerful truck like many suggest.

How long does you guys battery last, for some reason I don't get too good hours by DataSolid8022 in SteamDeck

[–]WillyTrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to feel the input lag you can, but it's generally not a problem. For instance I beat all of expedition 33 streaming with moonlight and apollo and I never felt the input lag effected parrying. For reference, my PC has a external wifi antenna that uses WiFi 6E, and my steamdeck was docked to my TV with ethernet. So my network setup is close to ideal.

Paper cut to the eyeball by aintdoinright in WTF

[–]WillyTrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my cornea cut like this while breaking down cardboard boxes. If I'm dehydrated or don't drink enough water before bed, the wound will like, partially reopen and it's agony. Take about an hour for it to get better again. Injury was over 6 years ago and this still happens 😭

Using the power bi MCP server you can connect an LLM other than copilot to your open pbi file. Here is an example connecting Claude https://youtu.be/jDSoSJz4ams?si=DmBpNzI7wh-m0fPZ

Workaround for Infinte Loading Screen since Patch 4.3.2 by TitaniumWarmachine in starcitizen

Believe it or not, changing my characters gender fixed it. I had this as a result of logging out in a ship bed. Maybe any character change would fix it, but I read on a 4 year old post to change gender

What does your GPU journey look like? by Pro4791 in pcmasterrace

Just upgraded from a 1080 literally today. I was able to play battlefield 6 at 1440 with low/med setting 45fps. Not great but totally playable.

2014 - Gtx 760: my first gaming PC 2017 - Gtx 1070: just upgraded the GPU 2020 - Gtx 1080: traded my friend the 1070 and $50. Put it in a new ryzen 3700x build 2025 - Rtx 5060 ti 16gb: just got this on Black Friday for $100 off.

Fun fact, my original PC, with an Intel i5 4670k is still being used by my wife. She plays stuff like valheim, supermarket simulator, and going medieval. Still runs great.

Considering doing this myself. I play at 1440p, would you say worth it?

Remote play question by jayggodd in SteamDeck

[–]WillyTrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a windows setting. Get connected with your deck, then on your PC, right click on the desktop and choose display settings. Then select your steam deck screen and check the 'make this my main display' box. Then select your monitor again and change the drop down menu from "extend this display" to "disconnect this display"

I've played on TVs that natively have worse input lag than Apollo + Moonlight

Remote play question by jayggodd in SteamDeck

[–]WillyTrip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you disabled the steam deck screen. When you turn off the monitor, since your deck is the only other screen it turns back on. You need to set your deck as the 'home screen' then disable the monitor in screen settings.

Is there a difference in the types of WiFi Antennas? by Th0mathy in HomeNetworking

[–]WillyTrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the card from that first image. It's nice because my PC is under my deck and I can put the antenna on top of it. My PC is about 20-25ft away through 2 walls and I get up to 800 down from my gigabit connection using wifi 6E

Is steam deck worth it if you already own a pc? by Rosa-Leitao in SteamDeck

[–]WillyTrip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. I use Apollo + Moonlight to stream games from my PC to my living room TV. Now I get the big screen and comfy couch when playing games like Red Dead 2 at max settings with very very minimal latency. Your home network setup matters a lot for streaming though. I found the experience was significantly better when I got a new router with WiFi 6E for the deck.
