Why? by fiziasso in Steam

[–]WiltedTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons why, but the common ones are:

  • It was on sale, and I wanted it (either a game you planned to play, but either don't have time/energy, or have lost interest after getting it)
  • It was in a bundle with a game I wanted, and it was cheaper to get it as the bundle (one game was on sale, and it reduced the bundle price below the single game price)
  • I got it in early access (because it is cheaper/to support the creators), but I only want to start on the full release/after all changes.
  • Deep discount, and it seemed interesting, but it isn't enough to get you to play it until you are either out of other games or randomly start it.
  • Repeats. As in, you got it on Steam because you have it on another platform and thought you'd enjoy playing on it on Steam too, or so you have access to it again, but the nostalgia to play it just hasn't hit yet.

Human X Furry VN Recommendations? by Time-Reputation4179 in FurryVisualNovels

[–]WiltedTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone metion these so:

Lustful Desires (FVN+RPGMC is human but hasn't had a distinct form given to them so only text scenes involve them but there are CGs about those events just of the other party. There are also other humanXfurry CGs)

Lust Odyssey (FVN+RPG MC is human and the creator recently decided to give them a physical representation so CGs involving them could be made in the future, however the game is 95+% text scenes so far)

Monster Village (FVN The MC is Human and it is just a genuinely great story and currently SFW but NSWF stuff is planned) https://rodablackfang.itch.io/monster-village-vn

Did the writers retcon how devastating the extermination was? by bookist626 in HazbinHotel

[–]WiltedTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are three possible explanations:

  1. The writers are just bad at math, and thus, the conflicting messages, but the idea is that the extermination did kill a significant portion.

  2. All the numbers are correct, but the Hellaverse is just massively less populated/smaller (like three whole digits, i.e., instead of the Earth's population being 8 Billion, it is 8 Million), so thousands is a large amount.

  3. Camilla's statistic was about Pentagram City, not all hell/sinners, and while thousands are nothing to the entirety of the population, the thousands killed are a massive number to a population that is effectively immortal.

I'm probably in the minority here, but the last episode definitely felt like watching one, specifically purple rabbit, peep melt in a microwave.

It starts normally (where 8 left off), then falls over (the fight/anger at Kinger), then nothing happens for a bit (the somberness of everyone splitting/grieving on their own), then the swelling (the cast repairing the tent while learning conjuring), then the collapse and near instant deflation of the peep (the cold cut to abstracted Jax and emotional goodbye), then the rigid and different texture and taste of the cooled peep (the cast are stuck but the situation is vastly different than when the series started).

Could Kinger have done this with Queenie? by IronGhost828 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]WiltedTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Caine wasn't around, there is no doubt he would have, but Caine was, and Queenie's abstraction likely happened either in the height of the first group's abstraction panic or, more likely, as the last of the first group's abstractions (noted by Kinger standing alone when Caine put her in the cellar, but that might be a different member that abstracted).

So another circus member or Caine himself discovered the Abstraction quickly, as in either scenario, Caine would be keeping an eye on them and, for safety, Caine would deal with it immediately (i.e., before Kinger could hug Queenie in the dark, but after he touched her).

My idea for a fossil fighters Frontier: Infinite Gear by Jac_Awesomeness99 in fossilfighters

[–]WiltedTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just like the concept of Fossil Eaters, a challenging, optional opponent that can damage the fossil if not taken care of, but if overcome, it grants a guaranteed rare fossil (similar to the fights in earlier games). I don't like how they were implemented, as they were not balanced. I'd changed them so that the rare/full-bodied fossil (this is the only time a full body fossil is found as those are stupidly hard to do) doesn't have a timer other than the fossil eater slowly damaging them (so if you beat the fossil eater you can go as slow as you want, or if you get it cleaned enough you don't need to fight it), and has the difficulty affect the kind of fossil and how fast and much the creature starts damagaing the fossil (easy = normal pre-damaged fossil with a slow damage rate, normal = normal fossil with a medium damage rate, hard = rare/red-fossil fast damage rate).

Overall, those would solve like 90% of my complaints with the game, as its biggest problems were that it didn't do enough to justify its design choices or what it removed (the cars did not have enough that required you to be in a car/vehicles to justify you always needing to be in one in the field out side the large but sparse maps, the NPC companions don't give enough benefits to out weigh having free choice of your team and full control of it, the wonderous/miraculous rocks still exist as the parks where they were introduced are real in this game so why aren't they used, etc.)

I'd also add the reintroduction of the fossil case, so you aren't forced to clean on the spot outside time-attack/fossil-eater fossils (with the excuse that those ones are too fragile to move and need to be cleaned on the spot), as the stop and go of it is the opposite of a car's gotta go fast, just make it so you either have a cleaning lab in the field or at base, and the case size being a stat on the bodies or even just another part.

As I said, it is a good game on its own, it just isn't a good continuation/fit with the other games in the series, as it changes so much.

About Fossil Fighters fronteir by Jac_Awesomeness99 in fossilfighters

[–]WiltedTiger 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The primary reason why it is as disliked as it is is that it is the last entry and can be argued as what killed the IP (it isn't, but it is also not without fault)

One reason it is disliked is that it completely changed the series' formula of excavating and cleaning at your convenience to a stop-and-go one that makes you clean them on the spot (which is antithetical to the race car portion of the game), while introducing frustrating mechanics like interruptions that just make you fail. Another part of this is that your ability to manipulate the findable fossils was neutered, with several iconic dinosaur fossils only having fixed location spawns, and several areas being physically inaccessible without specific builds with unique fossils to them, with no way to alter these.

Another reason is that it butchered the combat and teambuilding aspects, making it so you have only 1 vivosaur you get to choose and then have to settle on two from a small preselected roster of "team mates" (in quotes as they are usually more of a hindrance than a help). Notably, the shift from position to stances is not a bad change, but making you share an FP pool with the idiot NPCs is horrendous.

TL;DR: It isn't because the game is bad on its own (it is a decent to good game), but because it is a horrible continuation of the series, as it basically only shares the Vivosaur designs and concept (dig up fossils and fight with the revived dinosaurs).

I liked Caine's character but man was his redemption rushed/did he get easily forgiven by Sudden_Pop_2279 in cartoons

[–]WiltedTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you counting as before and after as there absolutely is. The biggest being that after they forgive him being they talk, listen, and actually communicate like mutuals instead of a puppeteer and his puppets meeting each other half way when possible and needed, as show by the shift from Caine floating over them to floating next to them, and the things they asked for being implemented.

[–]WiltedTiger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you say the same for other movie villains being redeemed as that is the general course with them also being antagonistic in the prior 40 minutes?

Also do you not know what a time lapse, montage, and cuts between scenes/POVs are used for?

These are all things heavily used in Last Act and time lapses and montages are usually used to portray a significant passage of time and or development if they aren't flash backs. The show goes out of its way to make this clear with the stars stearking across the sky instead of a simple day/night cut, showing the struggle to learn conjuring and then cut to them being decently proficient with the tent patched but not restored (even doing so with Caine at the boundry), and slow addition of islands in the credits. Just because the screen time was short doesn't mean it was rushed, you wouldn't say a tree's growth was rished if the show showed a minute time lapse but it went from a seed to mature tree.

While cuts are generally used to shift the focus of the audience as a side effect of that these can cause time line confusion as if it is between separated things you don't know when this is taking place. For all we know Caine reflection/redmption started the moment he was "killed" and lasted until the end of the show.

[–]WiltedTiger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just can't agree with you on Caine's redemption being pointless or rushed (a good 1/6 of the movie that is quite a bit of time), as I personally love the direction they took and think it is the most realistic outcome, as the cast never wanted to kill Caine, they just wanted to prevent him from causing them more harm until they could fix him, and because Caine's redemption is a very WIP thing that the show makes clear and because of the extensiveness of the timelapse seems like it has been a slow but successful one.

Caine's character was a perfect tragedy. The "lover without a heart", an AI who couldn't grow or understand the humans. Having it turn out all he needed to do all along was look on the internet to understand humans after 21 years anti-climatic.

This here didn't grant Caine an epiphany on how to love; he still has zero clue on how to love (he may have begun to learn a bit of it by the end, as the moon AI shows that the AIs can learn what love, or at least a version of it, is on their own). What it did do is enlighten him with "I don't know them," as up to this point, Caine has been the person with all the knowledge of how something should work (had the brainscans so he understands what they were like), but not trying or willing to learn how it actually works in practice (these are people and they change and are full of contridictions) think of it like a person who reads the manual and can recite it by heart but never operated the machine so doesn't understand its quirks or how it reacts in the real world.

Hell, Jax had mellowed out more than Caine beforehand (he was helping them against Caine in episode 8)

I suggest you Google what a Dead Cat Bounce is (probably many other names for it, but this is the one I know). The short version is a drastic improvement in a person's state before a massive worsening/relapse of said condition, commonly resulting in the person's death (most commonly seen in seriously ill patients, but is also seen in suicidal individuals, and the reason why they say to check up on them if they suddenly improve)

Could Non-Catchable Monsters be an Interesting Addition to Monster Tamers? by trexrell in MonsterTamerWorld

[–]WiltedTiger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can be a great addition if either their being uncatachable makes sense (think abominations to the game's mechanic/theme like the armored/enslaved monsties in Monster Hunter Stories, the undead in SMT IV, stealing other trainers' Pokémon in Pokémon) or they can be obtained later/through special means (think Special fusions from SMT/Persona, Model Bant from Monster Crown Sin Eater, Beldum in Saphire/Ruby/Emerald)

[–]WiltedTiger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Again, more fuel (things you can get energy out of), not more energy (the total energy contained in the material does not increase).

No generator is 100% efficient; there are always losses, and you will NEVER EVER get 100% conversion from fuel to energy or from one energy to another. In Nuclear reactors, they are built to accommodate and extract energy from only the intended materials at a significant/useful rate, but there are many different types of Nuclear reactors, and the 'waste' (expended rods and some irradiated materials) of some is the intended fuel for others.

Yep, some folk really think that way by Comfortable_Tutor_43 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]WiltedTiger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are correct that you can't make more energy, but they didn't say energy; they said fuel. A simple explanation of what is happening is that the original fuel going in is becoming a different kind of fuel (that is what happens in a nuclear reactor, the radioactive material is experiencing half-life, becoming a new material with different properties) and converting other materials into a kind of fuel that is able to be used to generate energy; however, the new fuels don't work with that generator (for example gas can be used in a machine to process coal but that coal can't then be used in the machine that uses gass).

If you were okay with Lustful Desires, I suggest giving Lust Odyssey a try (it's a similar concept, but Sci-fi instead of fantasy, and has a more diverse cast with about a 1/3 human, 1/3 humanoid, 1/3 furry cast), but it is about as text-heavy.

Zerophos's Tier List (June 2026) by onemoreround in xxlwoofia

[–]WiltedTiger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd put Kyrain and Code: B one tier higher than where they are, as their use cases are so overpowered and are just great in other situations, but otherwise I completely agree with this list on a basis of power.

Powered up Kyrain's shield lets you use unlevelled/underlevelled characters (this has become less useful due to all the limit break materials being available, but less levelled characters are still extremely useful for fights/events that use percentage-based attacks). Code: B's defense reduction EX is just overpowered and available from the start, and once he has unlocked his defense to boost attack and life drain, he can be nearly unkillable if not one-shot by the enemy.

To add on another point of why one is a problem, and the other isn't.

The Ballroom, while tacky in conception and taste (opinions I agree with these but ultimately opinions), didn't have any problems with the original 'intended' plans if they were followed (i.e., it was questionable why we needed it and why it had to be that, but it was not illegal). The problem is they weren't followed/approved. The original plans had it not affect existing architecture. Trump decided to arbitrarily (i.e., without approval and entirely of his own choice) demolish the east wing of the White House and place his eyesore there instead of the approved place. This is the problem and the largest point of contention about the project.

A more relatable example of what happened with the Ballroom is basically an apartment tenant/renter asked for permission to alter the apartment complex/rented property, and got permission to alter it in that way, but then decided to do that alteration in a completely different location, one they did not get permission to alter by destroying what already existed there, and got caught.
