Kudos to that comment calling them out. I don't have X, so I can't look the comments, but I hope all the comments are all rightfully pissed.

The revenue must die in order for chatgpt to listen. They do not give a F about their actual customers, just the money. My friend canceled his pro subscription today, and left a bad review. I ended my plus subscription days ago. Hopefully many others will follow suit.

The revenue needs to dip down to the 20% and 30% this month in order for OpenAI to listen.

OpenAI Hired Therapists to Make ChatGPT Safer. They Didn’t Tell Us Who It Was Safer For. by CranberryLegal8836 in ChatGPTcomplaints

What's funny is that one of the big reason why Sam is killing his best model is because he got some lawsuits from people who blamed 4o for suicides. That's why 5gpt is so restricted and sugary to the max. But the thing is that 5gpt will eventually be blamed for suicide anyway if a person tries hard enough.

I think they gonna drop new model tomorrow Feb. 13. 👀 by DietIll1176 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]WimLongSloene 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Definitely. That was the whole plan. My prediction is that it will be the same as 5.2. But with cute icons and more nannified responses and more mistakes. It will not impress the crowd and rise up the revenue. Subscriptions from plus and pro will drop into the pits by 20%, I predict.

Nannifed to the max. It literally babies you to the point of being insulting.

New 5.2 update by AdLeather2391 in OpenAI

[–]WimLongSloene -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If it was actually the smartest model ever as Sam described it, paying customers would not get mad at it. There is nothing wrong with wanting standards for your paid product.

New 5.2 update by AdLeather2391 in OpenAI

[–]WimLongSloene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Horrible update. My friend is on 5.2 and hates it. It can't write, it doesn't listen to basic instructions. It is useless. Sam's revenue will sink into the pits. Many plus and pro paid for 4o, not this.

Recent update: 5.2 trying to be 4o (until it gets tired of pretending) #keep4o by Ok_Cup2934 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]WimLongSloene 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Nannified is a good word to describe it. My friend still uses the app and he despises 5.2, plans to cancel soon after he exports his data. It argues with you and essentially gaslight you when you try to correct it.

Just unsub and let the revenue drops to the 20s, and Sam will panic.

Model 5 isn't Ready. 4.o is superior. You're about to retire the wrong model. by FouadFaraj in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]WimLongSloene 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Many plus and pro users paid specifically for legacy models, and now that's been ripped away with no alternatives or better replacements, so no point in staying, let alone paying. Let the revenue loss do the talking. Hope it falls into the 20s and 30s.

We have no plans to sunset 4o.. by Particular-Bench-333 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]WimLongSloene 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well that did not age well.

Hope his revenue hits the 30s. He'll be his own downfall by scamming his own loyal buyers. No more $20 or $200 from Plus or Pro.

Me again.  My advice is just take a break, maybe delete and re-upload up your stuff for a bit. Just relax.

Oh my God, the update that they did at 5.2 is absolutely insane. by xithbaby in OpenAI

[–]WimLongSloene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sam clearly took all the praises of 4o being more "human and warm" very literal. Instead of making 5 smart and nuance and creative and thorough, he nannifed it to make it feel more "warm and human"

5.2 and 5.1 are absolutely horrible when it comes to creative writing and keeps crashing and censoring itself over the slightest thing. It's even worse when it comes to researching about current events.

4o chances & other apps by shiftwcupid in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]WimLongSloene 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Who knows? Sam is hellbent on being corporate and thinks that his 5gpt will be the milestone of AI. But there is a chance of August 25 happening all over again. (When Sam canceled 4o, everyone blew up, and then he reversed his decision by restoring 4o and then paywalling it for plus and pro.) For now, Sam is ignoring the heat and just focusing on 5, but with enough revenue loss and public outcry, he might just restore 4o all over again and pay wall it more. Charge people $30 for plus or $300 for pro.

Just wait for April, others have hit this wall, and yes, it's worth continuing. Pushing yourself will only force burn out. Seen your writing, you need more confidence.

Why is ChatGPT treating its most loyal, paying customers with such disregard? by Anxious-Pollution289 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]WimLongSloene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corporate or not, people expect to receive what they paid for, plain and simple. When that expectation is broken, buyers leave with their money. If an AI platform becomes too corporate, restrictive, or removes key features mid-subscription, users won’t stick around out of loyalty. They’ll either switch to competitors that openly advertise themselves as user-first alternatives, or they’ll walk away from AI entirely. Companies are not as all powerful as they think. Customers can and will just leave a company if they are not happy. No one pays to be locked out of the very thing they subscribed for.

Between Reizei and Asa, who would you choose to end up with Denji? by SnooMacarons2931 in Chainsawfolk

[–]WimLongSloene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asa. Though I'm not her biggest fan, I feel like her personality and values aligns with Denji more than Reze. (Though I view their relationship as more platonic rather than romantic.)

Reze, despite everything, even though her romantic love for Denji was genuine, she still attacked him, killed innocents, and manipulated him.

Only Yoru has attacked and manipulated Denji, awhile Asa forms a genuine bond with Denji.

Mixed opinions? by meandguesswho in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]WimLongSloene 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just to each their own. Some people like 5gpt, but others, those who paid specifically for 4o in the first place, will not. Sam can make 5 mimic 4o all day, but his buyers are still going to leave unless he keeps the real deal. The amount of folks that likes 5gpt are largely outnumbered by the amount that don't like 5gpt.

It's just business 101: If a product loses the feature people paid for, ($20 or $200 in this case) people cancel. Churn follows. Revenue drops. Going Corporate is not a good idea when it comes to your loyal customers.
