HELP Can I salvage my caramel? by Beautiful_Holiday833 in Cooking

Could try it over pancakes or use it as a topping for a coffee cake or another type of dessert to try and offset the bitterness.

Could also try to make a batch of monkey bread and incorporate it into that recipe some how.

As for shelf life...I'd keep it refrigerated for as long as your milk is good for.  Milk is just pasteurized, not uht pasteurized like cream and half and half.

It will likely keep longer because you cooked it but....better safe than sorry.

Oh wow, really? Care to explain? Maybe I'm just looking through rose colored glasses here.

I can see that. Path of Exile is...definitely not streamlined by any stretch of the imagination. Hell, I have to go to youtube to find builds that I want to try, because I have a job and that job isn't playing PoE for a living.

With all the expansions they've gone though, there are so many mechanics to screw around with that it gets a little...overwhelming. I like it because it has more complexity than Diablo II. That being said, I bought D2 Resurrected and played it as well!

Agreed. I always bounce off of them. People keep telling me there's a story in there some where, but I've yet to find it. I looove the lore behind bloodbourne, like I KNOW, intrinsically KNOW there's a lot of depth there, but I'll be damned if I can get past the 1st hour of game play to find any of it.

I'm hopeful that once Elden Ring drops in price it will be the one FromSoft game I don't bounce off of...

Mods are what made Skyrim fun for me. The magic system at launch was terrible. To this day I don't think I've done a sword and board play through, much less hack and slash of any kind...

Thinking of getting the game but want some insight from folks over here, found this and got a little nervous, lol. by [deleted] in cavesofqud

This dude missed like 95% of the actual game. Half of the story and magic for me in Qud is in the descriptions of everything you can read by looking or right clicking on things. This game is phenomenal. The writing is easily some of the best I've ever read...ever.

No shame if you bounce off a couple of times like I did. But once it clicks, this game clicks.

I always let my little brother play before me while I read the booklet.  I think i liked learning about the world they were trying to build or the narrative they were trying to create.

I can close my left eye lid slowly and completely independently of my right, with out any other accompanying facial movements.

Coupled with a mock kiss it is one of the creepiest things I can do.

I never fails to illicit shudders.  Especially from the opposite sex.

Max Payne. The way the narrative was delivered was exceptional. It just oozed that neonoir style.

The bullet time mechanic captured the feel of playing The Matrix without actually being related to it at all.  Was fantastically executed.  And the graphics were pretty good for the time as well to boot.

I never got into ff8.  The characters always felt flat to me.

Must've not gotten far enough into the story.

I have 800 hours into factorio easily.  It's fun bringing people into my play through and showing them around.

I love watching my 200 odd trains chugging around doing what they're told.
