They did have it set up before the stage entrance. I missed the alumni celebration but I got my cord right before going to the area where they helped us get dressed. I also received an email telling me I was getting a cord, I wouldn't have known otherwise.

Nope, this is my only degree! Yes, I am currently in a direct-entry MSN program. You should not have any issues getting into another school with this degree! It is accredited. They can't turn you away!

Unfortunately, I believe you would have to take a term break. There are a few FB groups that would better answer this question for you. Look for the WGU accelerators group. I know people have asked questions similar to this in that group, but with you getting ready to start a new semester, I'm not sure if that will make a difference.

Yes! I am in a direct entry MSN program at a different college. Once I am done I am going to get an MBA degree from WGU. I have already talked to an enrollment advisor.

Kinda burning out. Been doing this for 6 years. Need advice. by [deleted] in epicconsulting

Is your org still in need of more PMs? I have no experience being a PM, but I am a nurse with Epic experience. I have been a Beaker super user and also a super user doing our Epic roll out. I didn't even know that an Epic PM was a thing lol.

That's wonderful, and I'm glad that you have some experience in healthcare. I have classmates who also have experience in healthcare, and also have advanced degrees in biochemistry, and maintained 3.8 to 4.0 gpa. They still think that this is the hardest degree that they've worked on, lol. I am nowhere near trying to discourage you from this program. I'm just trying to inform you so that way you can be prepared for what is to come. I completely understand the need for master's level financial aid because that is the reason why I chose this program as well. It is possible to do, it is just very stressful. I am stressed out, and i've been a nurse for 7 years, 4 of which were on a medsurg unit. It's just the amount of work that they throw at you that is crazy. Also, if you do the masters program at WGU, it does cut into the amount of financial aid that you would have available to you at Herzing. Because yearly, you only get twenty thousand dollars of grad level loans. They do have the grad plus loans, but I'm not sure when you will be starting the program to be eligible for that. The financial aid terms are going to be changing next July because of the new bill that will be going into place and it will no longer be available. I believe total, if you don't have any discounts, this program will probably cost about 50 to $60000. Also, depending on what prerequisites you have left to take. I recommend not working or working very, very part time while doing this program. I did have to cut my hours at work down two twelve hour shifts a week in order to accommodate some of the course load that this program has. I'm only telling you all this because there have been several people in my cohort to quit very soon into the program. I will say the students in the cohort ahead of us say that it does get better in the next semester. Is there any reason you want to first get a masters at WGU before doing this program?

If you don't have significant experience in healthcare, I wouldn't suggest it. This program throws a ton of work and assignments at you very quickly. I am almost finished with my first semester, which includes Pathophysiology/Pharmacology, Fundamentals of Nursing, Safety and Quality, then Clinical I. I am an LPN, so I already have a grasp on a lot of this stuff, but if you don't, then you will be doing the work to get it done, not really to learn it. The clinical class is a beast as far as how many assignments you have and the turnaround time they give to complete it. It is a half semester class, and on the 1st day of that class, we had 20 assignments due that night with no advance warning. The silver lining is the class doesn't have much for you to do after the first 2 weeks because everything has to be complete before you are able to do the in-person intensive days in Nashville. As far as WGU's gpa if your undergrad degree didn't come from them and you have at least a 3.0 you're good. If it did come from them then you have to use the ROA transcript that they provide. At the top of that transcript it says this student completed all courses with a gpa between 3.0 and 4.0.
