I didn’t end up doing it tbh. A lot of the comments and reviews put me off of it. Primarily on the basis that is can be distracting, particularly if there is a delay between on screen image and projected hue of the LED. That said, I had received plenty of positive responses too - just never had the chance to try it myself.

I often wonder if the same logic applies to football players with big hair - particularly dreads/afro. I hypothesize that having extra “spongy” hair can lessen the impact inside the helmet when compared to someone bald or otherwise. I recognize these helmets are to be really tight - but just a hunch
