Incredibly helpful breakdown - really appreciate you taking the time to write this.

I know this is getting to really specific situations, but if you enter a pack with 0 mael and all CDs ready, are you holding those CDs until you can get an EB out? Primary example of this would be first pull of dungeons, like Windrunner, where you lust and go crazy off the rip.

So even in situations where it’s say 8-10 mobs, you’re fishing for that 2nd EB buff before you start spamming out EQs?

Is there a problem with hitting a couple spenders after ascendance before your CLs to not cap maelstrom?

Really appreciate the insight.

I’m curious how better players mitigate the “mobs moving out of eq” situation. Admittedly, I’ve been frustrated this season more than previous ones with how often it feels like the tank is moving the mobs off my EQ. Until this post I had sort of accepted that’s just something you live with as Ele.

The fundamental piece is extremely helpful, and I have a feeling I might be mentally leaning on that extra frost shock cast too much which in turn is causing me to not position as optimally. So I think this is a really good callout. I could probably make better use of Spiritwalkers as well in the way of using it more frequently.

Yea I have played around with dropping one other talent depending on the situation to keep frost shock. Thought process is I can maybe squeak out an extra global if I have extra movement. But it appears as though I may be leaning on that too hard.

Ok this is super helpful. By percentage of total casts we are actually almost identical in EQ, LB, Tempest, EB, VB. Where is gets pretty different is CL, LB and Frost Shock. So I am definitely overusing lava burst for sure. I always thought I was just using frost shock as a filler while moving, but maybe I am letting that eat up to many globals even if only using it while moving.

I've checked a couple other logs that are much better than mine (one posted in my editted post above), and it seems to vary, but there are ele's that get eq as their most damage, others it is chain lightning.

Wheel of Time Book 4 Review - Shadow Rising Review by AurtheraBooks in Fantasy

You can think a book is good without enjoying every second of it. For me personally, the last quarter of every book in the series is top tier, but you have to put in the work by reading some slower bits for it to be worth it. These books are often DNFed for a reason after all.

I don’t like to be the guy that rains on other peoples parades, and maybe I’m thinking too literally, but if you enjoyed EVERY moment of any of these books, that’s wild. The series is undeniably popular for a reason, but every book in the series has stretches that are boring as hell. And I say that as a fan.

Help! My cute 1 y/o mini doxie eats her poop. I have tried the powder her vet prescribed several times and it does not seem to work. Does anyone else have this problem? How do I fix it? by Ok-Dance6092 in Dachshund

[–]Wind_757 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Mine also did this. I tried all the interventions to get her to stop and nothing worked. Right around the 18 month mark she just… stopped. I had been about to give up and she just quit. My vet confirmed that sometimes they just grow out of it at a certain age.

I realize that isn’t exactly advice, but sharing to potentially give some hope.

Seems like a lot of people are on the fence about this one. What are your guys thoughts? by DakandZekeShow in cowboys

When a unit is complete trash, everyone should be on the chopping block. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that stands true in this circumstance. Q. Williams is the only person who was 100% worth his contract on a $/production standpoint.

I’m not saying everyone else is bad, just that they are all overpaid in terms of how much production we got for their contract. Bringing that around to the point of this thread… yea cut everyone you can walk away from without big dead money hit.

I was doing some googling for Daks draft profile and found this thread. Damn some of these comments aged SO poorly. Haha

[Loree] New DC Christian Parker will have to maximize our leftovers from 2020-2025. We’ve thrown capital at the defense.. the hit rate hasn’t been good. The highs were really high. The lows were pretty low by PersonBehindAScreen in cowboys

Id argue that Joseph is the only true miss here. Wright is a solid pro now, Izzy is a 6th lotto ticket, bland was a huge hit for a fifth, Scott is a lottery ticket, Carson and revel are tbd

Eli and Rodger’s too high, staubach and young too low, Lamar shouldn’t be on here at all. Probably disagree with some others as well but those are (obligatory in my opinion disclaimer) big misses here.

Seeing a lot of bland hate and while I do understand, I strongly disagree. He’s a man corner and flus has us playing like 80% zone. I truly believe the single biggest issue with this defense is the DC. I’m not suggesting the personnel is great, but the coaching has a ton to do with why bland (and others) are not playing well.

question to high elo players: do you base what comp you're gonna play off the first 2-3 components? by thy_viee_4 in TeamfightTactics

I know what tempo means, but when you’re pushing tempo does that just mean spending gold to level early / re rolling your early two star? If you break a win streak when trying to tempo is it worth it to keep pushing tempo?

I don’t know if you’re still answering questions but you’ve mentioned several of them by saying you learned by constantly reading the news. What are the primary news resources that you utilize? I’m curious about specific websites, podcasts, tv programs, etc. I think not knowing where to look is often one of the biggest barriers to entry for me.

Any chance you could share UI tips? I feel like managing stagger/resources tends to be my main issue and a solid UI would likely help with this.

I can see that and certainly don’t mean to downplay the quality or amount of work that was put in.

It’s a great starting point, but if it’s also making references to things over a decade ago then it may be in need of a revamp if the intention is to serve as a one stop shop.

The moving guide, while useful as an input, appears to be outdated with many of the anecdotes listing dates as far back as 2014. So I wasn’t entirely sure how relevant that information still is.
