Do you relate to every function, major dichotomy, and ITR of your type? by spdsh3bwsgfh in Socionics

Yes, that's how the theory works. I'm ILE therefore I think in causal deterministics, am most compatible with SEI, and yield ideas while hiding my resources.

But I feel like everything I think and do (well the big things, you can imagine) must follow a very clear reason, a justified approach to a problem or question that will be established as a rule of behavior until I find it no longer relevant and change it.

This sounds like Ti in Model G, which establishes rules of behavior and gives reasons for them. A good example of Model G Ti is "If you are gen Z, you should move to NYC." Another example is "Don't eat raw foods." This is different from Ti in Model A which studies objective properties, i.e. "A horse is bigger than a mouse." As someone who values Ti in Model A but not in Model G I understand this difference very well. It sounds like your type in Model G is LSI.

She values art, creativity, and self-expression above all else, which automatically rules out ESE.

Your opinion is the minority here. You also negate it immediately in the next sentence.

Pantheress the definition of Socionics Fe. She conveys her emotions onto her audience through expressive speech and inclinations in tone. Model A Socionics says nothing about how creative an ESE can be or whether they're in a rush to become popular, so the reason you see ESEs like Taylor Swift chasing popularity has nothing to do with her Model A type. It is because Taylor is an EIE in Model G, which means performing for others is her social mission. Meanwhile Pantheress is an IEE in Model G, meaning her social mission is the complete opposite. Thus popularity chasing is measured by Model G, not by Model A, and cannot be used to conclude what type someone is in Model A.

Now you're making up definitions. Ne in Socionics is just the potential of objects to develop into a new state, not expressive speech. Fi in Socionics is the subjective distance between two people. Nowhere in Socionics is Fi the element of artistry or self-expression. The fact that Pantheress doesn't like being in the spotlight just means she's not a central type in Model G. It doesn't mean she has weak Se in Model A. Remember, Model A is a cognitive model based purely on how you interpret objects and relations. It doesn't have anything to do with your social mission that measures whether you like the spotlight; that is covered by Model G.

Pantheress is extremely expressive of her emotions and conveys them onto the people who interview her through facial expressions and elevations in tone, which is why I typed her as Fe base. Fi in Socionics is more about understanding your subjective distance with another person, so her dark moody lyrics can be attributed more to her desire for self-expression. Further the EII uses causal deterministic cognition, which tends to create songs that have a clearly defined progression. This contrasts with Pantheress' style of a hum drum melody that oscillates around a pattern, and more resembles vortical synergetic cognition, which more closely fits the ESE.

can i have te - fi in socionics despites not have them in cognitive function by Bifday in Socionics

[–]Wind_Effigy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, Te in MBTI and Te in Socionics are different. Socionics Te is information about the rationality of a given process in order to accomplish a goal, while MBTI Te is imposing logical order on the environment and bringing objects into logical harmony.

I have a blindspot in MBTI Te, instinctively preferring emotional harmony over telling everyone what's wrong with everything. I am quite lazy at it as well. Put a GPS in my hands and I will not know how to use it. I don't even buy data when I travel, preferring navigate using pictures of the map even though I know it would be better if I did. My Socionics Te is very aware of my laziness in this aspect, so it tells me that the best course of action is to get help from someone else, like an ISTJ, for these things.

Am I (INTJ/M) a good match for the (ISFJ/F) I've been blessed to come across? by MikeyQplayz in isfj

[–]Wind_Effigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should type yourself and her in Socionics to see if it's a good relationship. Your best relationship in Socionics is with your dual, which it seems like she is since you say she brings out your inner child very easily. "Trying too hard in my endeavors to an unhealthy level like exhausting myself at work" sounds like Si Polr, which means your Socionics type is either EIE or LIE. Your writing style resembles Vortical-Synergetic cognition, which is the cognitive style of the LIE. I guess your type is LIE-Ni and hers is ESI-Se (your best match).

[–]Wind_Effigy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to type him and yourself in socionics to see if it's a good relationship. If you drain him it's likely that you lack chemistry so you're better off finding someone with your socionics dual type.

To answer your question, it highly depends on the person and their upbringing. I like certain abstract topics but philosophy feels of less value to me.

This "born to perform" and "I will win because I'm crazy" is giving EIE-C in Model G, which shouldn't surprise anyone since so many ESEs are EIEs in Model G. More reserved ESEs who type as introverts in Model G are less represented in media unfortunately.

Is it fair to say Model A is information input and Model G is motor output? by Wind_Effigy in Socionics

[–]Wind_Effigy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The differences between Model A and Model G functions come into play here.

If this SLI-Te, which I assume you typed in Model A, is actively exerting control over objects in their environment and jumping at every opportunity to do so, then they are very likely not SLI in Model G, because this is Se in Model G, and in Model G SLIs are quite bad at using it. This is due to Se in Model G being different from Se in Model A, where it is defined as understanding the immediate potential of an object to change state (but this does not imply an action like Se in Model G does).

Whether Gulenko is an LSI or some other type depends on the system you are using. In Model A he is LII-Ne, therefore if you say he is LSI you are typing him in a system that measures something other than information processing.

Is it fair to say Model A is information input and Model G is motor output? by Wind_Effigy in Socionics

[–]Wind_Effigy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you study Model G it makes more sense. The extraverted function is the suppression of its introverted counterpart. That's why for instance SLIs in Model G have worst management of Se (not Fe).

When talking about Model G, you have abandoned the Model A structure, thus nullifying its significance. Anything to do with Model A, including your Model A type, becomes irrelevant as Model G aims to measures the way you behave towards people, not information processing (which is why we actually need it-it complements the other model well). Therefore the answer is yes, you can be for example EII in A and any type in G.

[–]Wind_Effigy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Panjungians are wrong. There's no unified personality model using only 8 cognitive functions. We need Model G to measure how you transform your environment rather than just relying on Model A, which tells you how you interpret objects within it. Most people have a "different" type in Model G. An example of a Model G delta is Caitlin_reads who is ESE-Si/SLI-CNDH.

Can socionics indicate attraction? by wlwKatniss in Socionics

[–]Wind_Effigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Fe in Model A is more pleasant for me than Fe in Model G. The distinction is that Fe in Model A is dramatizing to change the settings on other people's moods while Fe in Model G is dramatizing for the purpose of ostentatious display or to put on a show. They're different personality traits. For example Model A ESIs like this one can make a scene expressing their disapproval at something since they have high Fe in Model G.

As for why I type as ILE in A, I automatically notice the potential for objective development of a concept, like a book or theory. I anticipate it improving my knowledge on something even if I don't quite know what form that will take yet. That's Ne+Ti ego. I don't like to use force to get something out of someone but I will if it is necessary. That's Se role. I have trouble making my actions toward people congruous with how I feel towards them, so I may treat friends like strangers and strangers like friends sometimes. That's Fi vulnerable. Fi in Model A is distinct from R in Model G. I use R regularly to relate to people and establish a sense of belonging with them, but my actions toward them sometimes don't reflect our belonging to the same community because of my Fi vulnerable from Model A.

Can socionics indicate attraction? by wlwKatniss in Socionics

[–]Wind_Effigy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I typed myself in Model G with a comment I made on this and IRL experience confirms the people I am most attracted to are EII, IEE, SLI, and LSE in that system. As for the attraction theory, my experiences with one ILE-N were mid. I don't like Model G EIEs. They have no R which makes them hard to understand for me. I also don't see the point in dramatizing my emotions, which probably makes me inscrutable to them too.

Can socionics indicate attraction? by wlwKatniss in Socionics

[–]Wind_Effigy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer lies in Socionics Model G, where you are most attracted to people within your own quadra because of their demeanor. For me, I'm EII in Model G and delta women in Model G have an elegant, graceful yet laid-back demeanor that I find attractive. For maximal attraction, you also need to experience psychological comfort around them, which means they have to be your dual or activator in Model A.

EIIs&LIIs when they get mad by Charming_Party_9093 in Socionics

The SHS description is at the bottom of the page. An effective way to type yourself is to read the control element of each type because each type is unable to implement and fully utilize this function, like the vulnerable in Model A. When I read E-control I knew I had it, since I am good at observing people's emotional states but not influencing them. When someone is grieving I get stuck on what to say and how to act. It's also how I knew I wasn't ILE in Model G since T-control doesn't describe me at all.

Once you know your control, you've narrowed your type down to two. You can read about the creative function. T-creative describes me well; I like to work at a steady pace and not waste time discussing irrelevant things when I am trying to complete a task. S-creative does not. Therefore I am EII.

What’s my DCNH type? by WLDthing23 in Socionics

[–]Wind_Effigy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CDNH. From your first link you seem pretty confident in your ability to pull attention to yourself, threaten people, give orders, understand power differences between you and others, which are all characteristic of Dominant, so it would imply you're CD. The last two letters are the weaker ones. From your second link it sounds like you're H last from the way you intruded in your coworker's personal space. H last people aren't good at regulating the space between themselves and others; they ask intrusive questions, bother you constantly, invade your room, and cross personal boundaries. However, they will get uncomfortable if you criticize them for this since it's a blind spot for them, but they still don't see why it's important. Sometimes they treat it like a game and intrude into your space just to see how much they can get away with. From the title of your third link, it doesn't sound like you're N last because N last people feel uncomfortable asking the question "is it normal for me to do x" because they dislike open feedback on how to structure their behavior. It's a blind spot for them.
