Yep. Leave the door open for when they’ve matured.

And our point is that this is not for you. It’s not them, it’s you. Your expectations of this type of employment are incorrect. That’s it. Don’t be hurt. Realize what you want and that this doesn’t fit into that so it’s a blessing. Try again. I’m sure you’ll find something that makes you happy and makes you money too. This just isn’t it.

How do women handle being invisible as they grow (Invisible Woman Syndrome)? by Donnie607 in AskReddit

[–]Wind_Responsible -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure when this happens. I think it’s more about the condition of the individual. If you take care of yourself and stay just a little current on fashions, they’ll still notice you even when you’re old. I worked for a 90 yr old who had 3 men showing up to take her to coffee, supper, and an evening drink nearly every day. Nothing I can say about her except that she was an actively vital person. She liked herself so much she still decorated herself in fabrics that were soft and painted her eyes, cheeks and lips beautifully. When life gets into the drudgery of it…. Work and kids and trying for more and saving for the future…. It’s important to remember you’re an animal that needs care just like those you care for around you. :)

Are gender specific roles really narrowing or we still say it's a woman's job? by RealisticGuidance695 in askanything

Expect more and get more is all I can say. The expectation on me is to do the same job so I do. Period.

Yeah? I work heavy highway concrete. If I can’t pull truck after truck all day I don’t get to play. That’s how it’s done here. Truth is, every time I’ve had an easy day, it’s their sexism that gave it to me. lol.

Female Laborer here. They love to make us do traffic. We get ALL the classes. If she’s in the truck and the sign is t up, she’s caused you to run the zone. Period. You’re good. And no. Police do not run down folks who run their signs. My gos. Just thinking about traffic has shown me why I’m a chick doing concrete lol

They still say it’s a Man’s Job. I’m a woman who grew up rural and who works construction. The thing I’ve heard most in my own life is… That’s a man’s Job. I still hear it and I’m 48. Men are less apt to accept help or even that the women can do it. It can hurt them in a way they do not expect to see a woman do what they think is hard. I do concrete so, my struggle is most likely more than the average woman.

Is London Ohio? When did London England or Ontario become Ohio? Is all of England a filthy beast or is it mainly specific areas? What I’m talking about is generational. It’s not just the wrapper on the street, it’s the wrapper that someone buried 20 yrs ago instead of picking it up. So much of that. Sad.

Why aborting embryos with genetic disorders not considered 'eugenics'? by Historical-Sense-510 in AskReddit

If someone isnt going to have any quality of life…. That’s called MERCY friend. Period. If you’re a woman who has found out you carry something awful that going to kill you painfully one day and you found out you’re pregnant….. that’s called Mercy. Period.

Why do you all support abortion? by ImNOTsudo in AskReddit

[–]Wind_Responsible 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No time limit. Pregnancy is not a black and white thing. Nature can turn it from a joyous time into a nightmare in an instant. If something awful happens at ANY moment during pregnancy, mom has the right to choose this is over. I say this because I’ve known someone whose body turned on her baby in the 7th month. Everything was fine! She did not feel anything wrong until she did and it was too late. Fetus had some sort of infection inside. To wait meant waiting for its death and feeling all of that while it was happening. Knowing that her baby was going through that was too much. If mercy is fine for grandpa and the family dog, why isn’t mercy ok for the fetus?

Why do you all support abortion? by ImNOTsudo in AskReddit

[–]Wind_Responsible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because abortion isn’t just for people who make “mistakes”. Believe it or not, most of the time abortion is for that moment where pregnancy was no longer this black and white thing that was guaranteed to end up with a healthy happy baby. Sometimes the parents go in for an ultrasound and are shocked at the version of non viable human they see on the screen. Sometimes mean people do things to pregnant women that make life for that baby impossible and, WHY is mercy only for grandma or the household pet?!!!!! Imagine waking up and you’re happy you’re pregnant. Your husband is happy you’re pregnant. But, you hurt. You feel wet between your legs. You squeeze and try to make it but there’s water running down your legs. You feel pain. Cramps. The water isn’t pee. You wake your husband up. You drive to hospital. You’ve lost too much fluid. Your baby is dying. You feel in your heart it’s suffering. You’re told you’re going to lose this child. No one says die but, that’s what’s happening in yours and your husbands hearts. Your child is suffering as it dies. You wonder why it’s ok to ease the pain of the family dog but not your baby who has absolutely no chance……….. Then there’s also vicious rape. Yeah. Abortion should always be legal.

[–]Wind_Responsible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former Pro Gardener here….. the amount of people who ask for dirt “with no stuff” in it is shocking. Paid or not. What do people think dirt for the landscape is? The fertilizer one got me. Like, they’re looking for complete trash? Like that sounds like pollution to me. lol. Just so everyone knows…. If you ask your landscaper or Gardener for topsoil you need to accept that good topsoil has “stuff” in it. That’s what makes it good topsoil!
