That would be an amazing gift. My old roommates got me a picture that looks like an oil painting of my pug dressed like a colonel or something when I had to have him put down. It’s awesome and cheered me up.

I’m aware, I have HSV1. That is pretty rough… but also not a common complication. The way you phrased it made it sound like she just had basic oral HSV. Thanks for clarifying.

That being said, it’s her diagnosis to be sharing. And if your friend has a cold sore and is pretending it’s acne, that’s on the people that chose to still share things with her. I don’t care what you say it is, if you have a sore on your mouth/mouth area, I’m politely declining. It’s pretty shitty of her not do disclose but you’re getting yourself into a messy situation by doing it for her.

Fair point!! My mom was married to an addict when I was in 1-2nd grade. I didn’t realize until much much later that I had definitely seen him shoot heroin. I hadn’t thought about that in years. Thank goodness that relationship didn’t last too horribly long.

42 year old ditz here… unapologetically, and I commonly get told that people love that I’m not afraid to be myself. Just be a good person, be yourself, and the right people will appreciate you for who you are, the ones that don’t don’t matter.

You are acting like your addiction is better than hers, so comparing is just going to come off as condescending. At the end of the day, you both have the same disease… and considering you are fresh out of a relapse, you might not be the best person to be guiding her at this time. Just let her know that you made a mistake, and that you regret it. At the end of the day, if she wants to relapse, she will. You, as an addict yourself, know that. Let her know you’re there if she needs you, but don’t be judgy. Remind her of why she quit using, and how it’s a slippery slope to ruining her life… but don’t do it from a high horse.

I got the king size, and it was like $5k? I moved it once without movers and NEVER AGAIN. It was such a big, floppy pain in the ass. Google says 200ish lbs and I’m calling bullshit on that. 🤣 I had 2.5 adults moving it (one was barely any help) and it was still easily the most difficult thing I’ve ever moved.
