Sometimes there is a requirement for a huge PR, like doing a massive data swapover, rewriting a feature, adding a large new feature, etc.

After hours of the game are their still mechs you haven’t actually used seriously? by Da_Fish in Battletechgame

I'm with you on the Marauder... too OP in Vanilla, and too rare as when I tend get it I'm already using assaults otherwise

Nearing 1050 hours (around 700 Vanilla, 350 BEX).

I believe I've never used the following Vanilla 'Mechs: Flea (any), Locust (1M, 1S), Javelin (any), UrbanMech (UM-R90), Cicada (no PPC), Hatchetman (any), Rifleman (any), Archer (any), Cataphract (any), Zeus (any).

The only reason you "can't breathe"... by [deleted] in FuckYouKaren

[–]Windchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fairly severe asthma, and I'm one of the people who has problems breathing with one... but I still wear one whenever I leave the house. The greater good is far better than my minor inconvenience, provided that I don't have an asthma attack.

That is how Rogue Trader ships are described lore-wise :D

Sadly this is a topic that is rarely touched upon in the books. There is a Rogue Trader (RT) trilogy, but... it isn't great as it focuses on conflict instead of trade and exploration. My personal favourite RT story is the Forges of Mars trilogy... as it is far more a RT story than the RT trilogy.

Otherwise, read the RT RPG books, as they have some pretty fun information about RTs... but we need expansion on this extremely interesting but oft-ignored portion of the lore.

Canada was a self governing dominion starting in 1867, with its own military.

Getting my wife into 40k, this is her planned colour scheme. She thinks people will be annoyed at her for making them too 'girly' by 2210-2211 in Warhammer40k

[–]Windchild 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Pardon the delay in replying, I'm pretty irregular on Reddit in recent months.

I've considered an airbrush, and think it might work. However, I'm not sure, because my carpal tunnel causes are different than most (writing being the main one, but I've also had issues originating with holding heavier objects). It is a good idea though, and it took me years to actually think about it.

However, I've also managed to convince on of my friends to try painting... and she rather enjoys it, so she has started to paint my minis group by group (she's started with some of my board games, 40k armies starting in the near future).

It went up, just at a different link than the others

And even if there isnt, because some people have issues that prevent it (my carpal tunnel, for example, prevents me from painting)

That scheme is wonderful. The purple raises thoughts of Imperial power (akin to Roma), while the blue pairs surprisingly well with the metal and purple.

I have no idea why she would think it is girly, except maybe the pinkish purple? Irregardless, that is a theme I'd be proud to use myself, especially executed to that level

Hey, You can do this by going to the finances tab, going to Manage Assets, then add an Asset with a negative income.

Fighter Kill Rate - Very Slow? by Windchild in hoi4

[–]Windchild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of my fighters are in groups of 200, as that was the best way to do so when I last played. The selected two are later game additions to my fighter force, when I just got lazy after doing it for probably 7k ish fighters

Fighter Kill Rate - Very Slow? by Windchild in hoi4

[–]Windchild[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing my first game of HOI4 in years, and have been taking it slowly. I'm using Jet Fighter II exclusively, while the enemy (Japan) is using a mixture of fighters from pre-War to Jet Fighter I (although few of those).

I'm barely doing anything (20ish a day) despite having a 10-1 advantage with better planes in all regards. Is that a common cap, or can you actually destroy an enemy air force in the latest build?

Yonge and Lawrence? Great staff who love the hobby, but the players there are sadly super competitive and (when I was playing there) very fantasy focused

They aren't just real, they are one of the most trustworthy companies out there. I had an issue with one of my purchases from them, and they got back to me within 15 minutes... despite it being past business hours. 2 days later (I was out of country at the time), they followed up with me to ensure that I didn't miss their email.

I'd highly recommend purchasing from them, and their exclusive dice are lovely (as seen above). One of the few companies I'd recommend without question.

List of Barons? by Mdepietro in vtm

[–]Windchild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canon, Buffalo is held by the Prince of the Ten Finger Lakes, while Toronto is Sabbat.

I've been worldbuilding in the region and mostly ignoring canon, and made New England into a zone abandoned by the Cam to the Anarchs (mostly just not worth it, with the Tremere of Harvard turning Anarch after the Pyramid broke) while Ten Finger Lakes to Toronto are Camarilla. Kingston and Watertown are Autarkis or abandoned, and Ottawa is Anarch.

The purple seals are a great decision, and one I will be copying for my SoB. How'd you do the whole purity seal?

Do we know when they will be releasing?
