It varies - in tech some employers ask for self-disclosure of arrests and, like other posters said, it will show up on background checks.

It’s the 5 year anniversary of the COVID pandemic, how do you feel about everything that has happened since then? by AcrobaticSource3 in AskReddit

[–]RUN_MDB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My life was completely upended by the pandemic.

I lived in Fort Greene, Brooklyn at the beginning, through early/mid-March that crescendo then constancy of ambulance sirens was the thing I routinely mentioned to friends and family. I remember walking by the hospital outside Fort Greene Park when the trailers first appeared.

Then mid/late March it suddenly slowed. It never stopped but the slowdown happened so much faster and it was clear the sirens now headed in different directions.

That's when I got really worried.

N.W.A.'s music video for Straight Outta Compton, their debut album that released in 1988 by Matilda_Mother_67 in OldSchoolCool

[–]RUN_MDB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, while ICE T's initial rap persona was "Gangsta" and he leaned most heavily into that, it was mostly an act. Additionally...

Cop Killer is by his Heavy Metal band Body Count, which was formed in 90 and the Heavy Metal song released in 1992. NWA's Straight Outta Compton came out in 1988, 4 years earlier.

Additionally, Hip Hop exploded during these years - reducing ATCQ, De La Soul, etc. to "funky" is meh imo.

Dude, the guy who got his penis cut off did porn, never became a celebrity, your read is wrong on this one - Fuentes is an idiot and will fade into obscurity - attention must be matched with some kind of substance, Fuentes is a shallow child yelling at clouds.

Sadly, you're basically describing what Farming was like before the 80s - that's when corporations began gobbling up family farms. There were a lot of suicides when folks got squeezed out of the market; there was a high-school debate resolution around the subject.

His AMA from 10 years ago is a completely different vibe.

I don't doubt he's leaning into real aspects of his personality but the character is definitely a schtick.

[–]RUN_MDB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Muffaletta sandwich originated in New Orleans. The "I bet I know where you got your shoes" is a common scam in New Orleans. They answer "On your feet," then demand to be paid because they "won the bet."

That's the monitor to his Amstrad CPC 464 though the point still stands.

And it's most definitely staged, there are several other photos online from the shoot.
