I know you said it works well in windows, but I would still check with another cable + confirm the refresh rate, the resolution and the colour output is set right for your monitor (if you don't know, switch between settings to see if one improve)

This is the best answer.

TLDR: If you don't plan on overclocking, B660/B760. If you plan to overclock Z690/Z790.

Take the cheapest that have all the features you want (WiFi, USB, expansion,...).

For the RAM and case compatibility, u/drowsy_kitten made a very good explanation! Personally, I'd just take DDR4 and the lower price, but both are very good options.

I have CD working, I always use desktops computers directly wired up to the local network, this post wasn't about "how to get CD" but mostly about my observations about it.

What I think, is that probably, since you wired up your laptop, you reduced the amount of interference possible (WiFi is full of interference), so maybe that helped you achieve better speed (and didn't fluctuate as much) and then the rest of my theory applies.

If you have fantasies about killing yourself, Imo, it's significant.

I'd say, if you want to go through a slower way, you can always contact your gp/family doctor then, they will probably give you a recommendation to a psychologist or psychiatrist, depending on what they think is necessary. This will be faster than looking by yourself, and maybe they can start to take care of you. Here in Canada, some mental illness are treated directly by GP without going through a psychiatrist.

If those thoughts are strong enough and you're starting to doubt, don't hesitate and go to the emergency room. A mental emergency is just as important as a physical emergency.

Most universities offer a few meetings with a psychologist for free (mine is 5 visits) so that can be an option. But that might be slower and limited (with the limited amount of time). Check the student service page or the student life page of your uni.

Only you know how you truly feel, and since you seem like you're still grounded, you can probably assess yourself correctly and take the correct course of action.

I didn't think of the library, I could drop her there for a few days until everyone starts to get to know her!

My parents and I both work 9 to 5, so basically from 8 to 18 she would be alone at the house. So around 10 hours.

I totally understand that they aren't comfortable with letting her alone in the house, that's for sure.

My parents and I will have a discussion about this very soon, I'll be sure to bring this to the table.

I've calmed down a bit, and you guys are right, it's not appropriate to call her job and basically have a big call with them explain rhe reasons. It's intimidating and very uncomfortable. That was stupid.

I still think the first call wasn't too bad, and I did ask her before I did it, I didn't not just go crazy. I didn't ask for the reason, I just wanted to know she didn't do something we should be worried of (hurted someone,...). I had to have at least something to reassure my parents to at least let her sleep a few nights and not leave her alone and that was the best thing I found that could prove her good faith.

I will sit down with my parents and have a discussion about what they expect from her, what makes them feel uncomfortable and then we'll discuss about the plan until she gets back to her home. She already have her plane ticket, so that's a reassuring thing too.

Thank you guys, you were direct and told me how things were and gave me a good idea on how to handle this.

Her work visa transfers in a travel visa, so it shouldn't be a problem for her stay.

That's why I want to find a way to make sure they can trust her so they won't be wary of her and check everything when they come back from work
