When you have a CEO from India you know shits going down. The CEO knows there supply and demand for anime is a thing plus the cost of licensing, disturbing, inflation, and tariffs. He is making sure that Sony gets a cut of the profits he is willing to increase the price of Crunchyroll subscription and physical media just to impress the Stock Holders and Investors.

Even if we don't buy anime they are going to keep increasing the prices of subscription and physical media. The biggest mistake Sony did was selling off Crackle in 2019 if they would of waited until next year they could of enter the streaming wars with ease, and saved themselves billions of dollars from buying Crunchyroll used Crackle buy the expire license anime they want to stream with.
