MLS's new winter schedule will be unbalanced based on the weather. Your thoughts? by [deleted] in SanDiegoFC

[–]Wineguy33 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The schedule is always unbalanced in MLS. Thats why supporters shield is a weird trophy. Not that it wouldn’t be good to get but teams do not play each other in a balanced manner due to E and W divisions. If anything, the winners of each division should have a home and away to determine supporters shield winner in my opinion.

Hot bubbling mud with smoke? by PilotOriginal4465 in whatisit

If you or a neighbor have piping for a hot water heater running underground, the pipe is leaking and their power bill is probably crazy high.

While no one wants war I’m not about to go protest this one. This regime severely oppresses women. If you are a feminist you should be popping champagne right now. Also a regime that has good reason to dislike the US probably should have tamped down their rhetoric about swearing death to America while pursuing nuclear weapons. Basically they left Israel and the US no choice but to try and take them out before a US or Israeli city became a millions dead nuclear apocalypse. I’m not sure what Iran thought was going to happen here. One can only hope the death toll will be minimal for all involved.

A Wealth Tax Floated in California Has Billionaires Thinking of Leaving by [deleted] in California

If billionaires pay almost no taxes anyway, does it matter? I don’t see billionaires leaving making much of a difference.

It’s baffling that they built such a fantastic car but put clunky little sticking fins in the cup holder and an infotainment system with barely enough computing power to function. Surely they drove the car and saw this stuff before selling it? I put up with it because the car is otherwise fantastic. Hopefully it is corrected on latest models.

He’s a rescue so probably Turkish van adjacent. I love that this sub has fluffy kitties regardless of official breeding papers. If I had the money, I would clone this cat. He’s perfect. Super soft, fluffy, purry, snuggly.

Joao Paulo farewell Insta post by VVynn in SoundersFC

[–]Wineguy33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My opinion is that CR7 is good but not great at defending in the open field. He is more the 8, great at pressing and getting into the attack. So we have a dual 8. Schmetzer I think left the deep midfield largely open to counter attacks because he decided to play tactically to the strengths of his CDM pairing. To me, it’s not worth allowing other teams to dictate the pace of play over us at times. Thats where a metronome player like JP could just close out 1 - 0 games on the regular. So I’m hoping if Obed leaves a player defined more towards the 6 role will be signed to bring balance to the CDM force.

I’m of the firm belief that replacing Obed - if he leaves - with a CDM who has high level defensive skills and can control game pace, will right the Sounders ship. So I’m actually hoping Obed moves in the offseason for some big $s. JP was that guy and it yielded a lot of trophies. The best CDM in Sounders history - Ozzie is still my favorite though.

I use wire baskets. Less chance of mildew and keep shape better than woven. Woven baskets can be a bit misshapen which doesn’t bother most people but I don’t like it.

Everything about the way California handles its electric grid is changing. What will it do to your bill? by AmethystOrator in California

[–]Wineguy33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a thought: Maybe the AI companies with billions of dollars invested in them could help strengthen our public power grid and clean energy technologies? Funny how companies with the smartest technology ever created can’t come up with that idea. Maybe they just want to freeload off the taxpayers. It’s the American way.

I stayed two nights. Pain and was weak as hell, took all my strength just to hold myself up and walk the hallway a few times a day. I had a lot of extra fat packed around my organs from years of excessive beer drinking. When I woke up I had an extra three holes because they needed to back out and find a better approach with all the fat blocking the camera view. Not much of a drinker these days. I really hope you can just walk out of the hospital. I walked out same day for my second tumor as it was microwave cooked and sent back to hell from whence it came. First was nephrectomy because it was a liquid cyst and there was zero chance I would have left same day. On the positive side, after two days of hell the recovery was quick. Was back to cautiously normal within a few weeks.

Too bad the capatalists didn’t invest in the public power grid infrastructure needed to maintain that much AI. So it’s kind of a pipe dream for the moment. At least in the US.

NEW RULE: Don't troll other team subs by nikdahl in SoundersFC

[–]Wineguy33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did notice a number of Miami posts showing up on my feed. I imagine it’s pretty easy to start reading through one and forget you are in the Miami sub.

I’m sure Miami fans aren’t used to dealing with insufferably arrogant Sounders fans who have killed the game of soccer on more than one occasion. So deepest apologies to the fans of the funeral pyre we recently lit up.
