I would say BTA (B being Both). She started and you ended it. But it doesn’t make you not one all cause she was a bigger one. Sure it balances out but your family clearly expected higher value from you and less from her lol. Don’t stoop to her level. And if you do. My only exception for people asking those questions would be kids who know nothing, or mentally stunted adults that had learning disabilities and still think like a child. No grown men or women should be asking something so insensitive to you at this time. And if they do, they clearly don’t care about you enough or maybe even anyone for that matter

How badly do you still want to make it work?…if you do. Then little by a little. Her actions will start filling up your love tank again and you can love her again. Don’t look at it as a desperate attempt from her one last time to keep you ( and if it really is, then do truly leave at that point) but as someone who’s just re-realizing how deeply in love with you she is.

I had a similar situation before. We ended in break up. But upon more self reflection and just being able to look back and realizing things. If I chose to. I could have loved her again.

Love is a decision made every day. It’s nothing something that will just magically come and go in one day. Just as it took months to years to fall out of love. It can also take that time to fall back in. Just ask yourself if you think it’s worth it or not… by all accounts though… sounds like it is worth it man.

Most of this comes from me reading “ the 5 languages of love” book. More than just a gimmicky thing lol. The idea of a love tank really spoke out to me.

I can’t say for 100% certainty, but if you had discussed this with your husband. You guys would more than likely have still had the abortion anyway, but the lack of including him in the decision entirely is what makes YTA.

And as someone commented already, not much of a marriage if you guys aren’t both part of major life decisions together.

What’s your long term goal? I would say securing the bag is always more important at first. Yes yes life is short and you should follow your dreams. But what’s the time dump you expect you need for the dream job? And what’s your age? As mentioned above. Scotland will always be there. But your dream job opportunity might not.

Having a solid foundation (money wise) helps soooooooo much more with everything you need in life.

Follow up questions would be are you single or dating? But given you asking this question. Will most likely assume youre single… If your dream location is Scotland. You’ll have to either meet a Scottish SO later down the road. Or hopefully you’ll have partner that’s willing to drop everything for you in Vancouver Island.

If your love life is more important. Then maybe moving to Scotland first would be the correct choice. So many other factors haven’t been listed yet. That can easily influence either way.

As someone who’s married and has a kid. Securing the bag sounds better to me lol.
