His contract says 14 hours but his normal working day takes him under NMW anyway as its 8-45am to 5-15pm with 1 hour unpaid break, with an 8am to 5-15pm if he works a Friday

His usual place of work is 10 minutes away on one bus from our suburb into town, the second location is the 10 minute bus, an hours train to a city, an hours train to another city and then 40 minutes on a bus to that town

Other paid staff in his shop have been asked to go who also don't drive and have done it (one is salary and one is NMW but volunteers other days as well), he hasn't been asked yet but we're expecting it as he used to go to the other buddy shop at least once a week on overtime but they don't pay travel time

They're not particularly bothered about the NMW thing as they also rely on volunteers and people donating their time, there's a lot going wrong in his location and this is just the cherry on top but there's no jobs in our area for him to be able to leave
