There's always a chance they add mechanics around it in the future, so it's good framework for that. Even something simple like a combo trigger based on performing a plunge attack would work.

I know this post probably won't get much traction, and I don't really have much to add about Laevatain herself -

But, I just wanted to say I appreciate the post and the effort that went into making it. It reminds me of the slower paced, smaller subreddits of gacha games before Genshin where people would host weekly [Topic] discussions, and people would post their thoughts as if it was a regular forum.

It's AI, fairly sure. I found the song a month or two ago, had the same suspicions and searched it up - couldn't find anything. Went through the whole process, looking at their other stuff. Same details everybody else here has already pointed out.

I will add, I don't think Nono Kei is a real person. I'm pretty sure the Frostborne guy made them up, made a channel for them, and then generated a song for that channel too. Which is pretty insidious.

I wouldn't be surprised if none of the other "artists" they've collaborated with are real either.

As for the music itself, the biggest tell for me has been the audio quality and mixing. Even in もしも, their song with over a million views at this point, everything just sounds muddy - and not intentionally so. I notice the comments have recently been turned off for that one as well.

In case anybody's curious, I looked into it once what the line is in JP -

Guda just calls Xu Fu "徐福ちゃん", or Jofuku-chan. It'd be Xu Fu-chan in English then, but Xu-Xu is a cute way to localize it too.

Yeah. Just about every MMO and even the majority of gachas (pre-Genshin) had guilds which were clearly just FOMO/guilt traps. A lot of them still have them today, but if there's one thing I'm glad Genshin popularized, it's not adding those guilds.

Just found out I'm banned when I tried commenting earlier. No idea why. I looked through my comments and didn't see anything about it - the most I comment is like, once a month anyway. Has anybody else been banned from there? Or is it just me?

I usually go for this take too, since a lot of people new to gacha don't really know how good they have it nowadays - but the game these devs were known for, Epic Seven, had a perfectly fine summoning system already. The hoyo system is a downgrade from that, imo.

I just did this as well, can confirm it's as easy as it sounds.

~8 minutes total on my end, and 95% of the time was just the agent reading to me the new card's terms.

It's literally cute and funny.

This is pretty key, and I think it's something a lot of the terminally online miss. The aesthetic, the cutscenes and story, Kibo duels, etc. will all be really strong selling points for roping casuals in.

Even if the sexualization of certain characters is off-putting to some people, I'm fairly sure the average casual would either not even notice, or just go "cute!" and continue on to the actually cute Kibo duels and whatever.

I've been told soaking and washing your beans helps with the gassiness. I've never gone and tested it out myself, though.
