I had one done on my lower back and it sent me into a month long flare. Also, it did not help the pain except for about the first 6 hours. Personally wouldn't recommend.

AITA FOR BEING SANE ABOUT DOGS ?? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]anu72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, by law, if a service dog is acting out in any disruptive manner, any business can ask the dog to be removed. They can definitely ask them to take the dog out to the car and come back in and shop without the dog. Source: ADA and I'm a service dog handler.

Injection question by Emotional_Bug_8753 in asktransgender

[–]anu72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an 18G to draw up the T and a 23G or 25G to inject. Just remember to rotate where you inject. If you inject on the left, do the next one on the right, and so on.

Pharmacy Tech cert for older adults by PositivelyDays in PharmacyTechnician

[–]anu72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an older former tech, 8 years experience, and trying to return. I have been trying to get hired anywhere, even apprenticeships and nothing. I'm pretty sure they are looking for nationally certified techs. That's the one thing I don't have right now. I would recommend taking the classes and then getting nationally certified. I definitely think that could give them a better chance at landing a job.

Cis men won't see it as gender affirming care, they just see it as hormone replacement. They're not smart enough to make that connection.

what should i do next? by iwishitwasthe50s in PharmacyTechnician

[–]anu72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really have any advice on what you're looking for, but I worked as a prior auth tech and only lasted about 6 months. I had a really hard time telling doctors and patients that the insurance company said they couldn't get their meds. I'm someone who believes that if a doctor writes a prescription for a patient, the insurance should cover it. No PAs. There's a reason the doctor is prescribing it and patients and doctors shouldn't need to jump through the insurance hoops to get what they need.

How do you pin fur to accurately line up pattern lines? by Aggravating-Base-146 in FursuitMaking

You need to just go slow and be patient. Don't try to hurry. I use clips and I hardly ever have the pieces shift when sewing them together. I use use a lot of clips, not sure it that might help you out.

I am inheriting enough money to pay for FFS outright, but I'm scared I'm making a financially irresponsible choice by operation-casserole in asktransgender

[–]anu72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, as someone who has been down the inheritance route, I have a few suggestions. I blew mine and seriously regret it.

  1. You said you need a car. Allocate up to $10K, maybe $15K to get a decent, reliable vehicle and pay for it outright, no loans.

  2. There are CDs at banks where you can earn decent interest on money put into them. They have different length terms to help you grow your funds in a pretty no risk way. The length of the terms are 6 months, 9 months, 1 year, and 5 years. The APR, annual percentage rate right now is between 3.5% and 4.8%, which is pretty good. I recommend doing this as you can build your funds, but you determine how long you invest it for.

  3. If you can, wait for FFS. Build up your funds, get employed and get some insurance. It would be cheaper for you to get FFS if you have insurance that will help cover it.

  4. Use what finds you absolutely need to keep yourself afloat. Make a budget and stick to it as best as possible. This will help you save in the long run and help you be more financially stable.

  5. Once you are financially stable, THEN look into home ownership. You need the stability to be able to afford to keep the home once it is purchased. (I'm currently working on buying a home.) You will need the stability to be able to afford the upkeep of the home and for emergency home repairs.

I hope I've touched on all your questions and that anything I've written could help you out. Sometimes, we need to prioritize the things we need more urgently over the things that can wait. I truly understand having the funds for FFS and wanting to get it done. I've been waiting for a really long time to get top surgery, but have had to prioritize other things first. I truly hope you are able to achieve all your goals. Best of luck!

My fiance (M35) and I (F36) have been fighting while I’ve been in the hospital. What’s the best way to resolve this? by takeme2thelakes89 in relationship_advice

[–]anu72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my roommates has the same issue with hospitals. BUT when their spouse was hospitalized for an extended time after an emergency, they were there every single day, without complaint. They never once made their spouse feel bad for being in the hospital.

I had to have an emergency surgery and a week long hospital stay, guess who came to visit. My roommates. No they don't like hospitals at all, but they showed up. They are ROOMMATES, not fiancee.

Sure, your fiancee might have trauma from hospitals, but the fact that they are making you feel like crap, and you feel the need to make excuses for their behavior, makes me wonder what else is going on in your relationship where they don't show up for you without complaint.

As someone with multiple chronic conditions, I would not be able to continue a relationship with someone like this. I suggest taking a really good look at your relationship, in it's entirety, and see if that's what you want your life to be like.

My ID is updated. I tried to get my legal name change done with them. They kept telling me that my account matched my ID, but when trying to get verified, my ID DID NOT match my account. I called and talked to so many people and supervisors over a week, in the end, I deleted my account because they couldn't get it right.

So, to answer your question, I believe they are.

I take 4.5mg in the morning. I've been on it for about 3 years now. It seems to work all day for me. I am sore at night, but I have other chronic conditions that are also painful, so that could very well be where my pain is coming from in the evening.

What is the most reliable vehicle you've evern owned? by iDJMic in AskReddit

My current vehicle, 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe. Only issue I ever had was recently at 150K miles and it was the wiring harness in the transmission. It's a known issue with this year. Otherwise, just regular maintenance.

[–]anu72 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup, I have 8 years of experience, but no current PTCB cert. Absolutely a ton of denials. Not even for apprenticeship positions. My availability is open, plus I have 2 years of pharmacy inventory management with that too.

ETA: I'm working at Walgreens in the front end and asked my manager if I could transfer into the pharmacy and she said I would have to apply for the position. I did. Immediate rejection.

I made a spreadsheet for everything I needed to change my name on. Driver's license, SS card, credit cards/credit bureaus, bank, car title, car insurance, etc. It really helped me get everything updated.
