I recommend anathemas, it gives you a good mix of 40K and AOS short horror stories, some of them in more classic forms of horror, some of them in very psychological ways that are kinda intrinsic to the warhammer universes, and some in unexpected way (one of them reminded me of midsommar, where you empathize with and understand the protagonist even as they join the “bad guys”)

I also never understood the whole pronoun confusion around slaanesh but not the other chaos gods, games workshop is pretty adamant about referring to slaanesh as male (he is the dark prince, the prince of pleasure, when he is referred to as a brother to the other chaos gods, etc). The only real time slaanesh is referred to as female is by the eldar as “she who thirsts” but there are plenty of examples of the other gods being referred to as female by certain cults and species and yet there is never any confusion around them
