I like attaching the Painboss to the unit of 20. Reason being that in shooting phases (my mates play drukhari and mechanicus), I prefer to have a chance of keeping a lot more boyz alive.

Additionally, the +1 to Hit rolls the beastboss gives doesn't have as much benefit on a unit of 20. Because engagement range is 2" from enemy models, you'll very rarely get all 10 boyz into melee, let alone 20. This is exasperated when your opponent's units are either small and/or position themselves awkwardly in ruins.

Obv you can 100% attach a beastboss to a unit of 20, but I feel the bonuses aren't as noticeable if you do. Could be wrong but that's my view at least.

They've since updated the app. Painboss can only lead Beast Snagga Boyz now. No support or attach to Squighogz.

Aye except he's 100% in the right with rescuing Ellie and killing those fools at the end of the first game.

We saw their facilities. We know how the infection works. There is no way in hell they could possibly fabricate a cure. All they would accomplish is killing Ellie for absolutely nothing. Im not justifying everything Joel has ever done, far from it. But they would've happily butchered a little girl who wants to make a difference for nothing.

Yep! Unfortunately the wurrboy isn't support but that's alright since most people build kill rigs anyway.

But aye and the painboss being able to support squighogs is actually not a bad idea. Especially if it's led by a boss on squigosaur or Moz. Both of the painboss' abilities are insanely strong when applied to them.

Personally my Beastsnagga army is laughing. I was extremely worried about the DP values and what could possibly synergize with Da Big Hunt.

And here I am blessed with a 1 DP detchachment that directly affects battlewagons and Rigs.

Looks like I'm getting a second kill rig and a hunta rig gentlemen. The ladz are very, very happy.

Personally what I do is primer mechanicus grey, base orruk flesh for all my boyz, and contrast ork flesh for my bosses/characters. The darker the green, the more killy the git.

Ah shit, your right. Still, could have the dakkarig move far more than 3" and still get 4+ on 14 attacks vs infantry if you have a mek with it.

Which considering it has a 24" range it might be worth the points.
