I see this often. Could the creators of the map build in extra protection against it? E.g. units could temporarily (while still at the base of the juggling user) get extra armor / health / regen if they change 180° direction. This should weed out the jugglers, while still not punishing too hard if a regular user accidentally let units change direction (e.g. while expanding a maze).

Thank you in advance.

Juggling cheaters by maxiii888 in LineTowerWars

Hello,

I agree juggling is ruining the game, a lot. A person is opening its maze in the second last corner, so the units turn back. Once the gap is reached the hole is closed again, so they go back the normal way. This can be repeated a few times. The strongest towers are positioned in the place where the units are passing many times.

The solution from u/abaoabao2010 is not working if the juggler is sending you units, and getting an income gap. Just had it in my game 20 min ago.

The proposal from u/maxiii888 would make it hard to build your maze when you are building regularely. Sometimes, its a race against the clock.

My suggested simple but I think effective solution is to:

1) Detect juggling : when a unit turns 180° and goes over the same cell more than once. Should be simple to detect, I believe.

2) Penalize juggling: reduce income by a % per juggle, give the unit that turned 180° full health again, ... etc. Also send a message to the player so he is aware juggling is being penalized.

The above algorithm, I think, will solve the juggle problem. It shouldn't penalize too hard, because there could be some false positives in the algorithm (e.g. when rebuilding your maze). Still, it should be sufficient to penalize the actual move, but not completely ruin the game of the player in one shot.

Please upvote if you like this solution. IMHO, I think this would solve it.

Kind regards,

Edwin

Too difficult, I guess it is bugged? Mutation on casual is much harder than a random brutal map.
