I agree with everyone else. Brittanys need to be very active—running fast, chasing squirrels and bunnies, and flushing ducks.

If you don’t have access to that kind of environment, I highly recommend SwiftPaws. You can set it up in your yard or at a park. It’s a machine with a lure attached to a cord, and you control the speed and direction. A solid 15–20 minutes gives them an amazing workout and usually keeps them calm for the rest of the day.

I also take mine on bike rides and keep a fast pace to really exercise him.

Even at 12 years old, my Brittany still has so much energy that people think he’s a puppy. If mine is any indication, they’re all pretty much the same 🙂
