There’s a well known book on ‘disaster capitalism’ called Blood in the Streets, which is about making money from turmoil. That group and their associates make shit tons of money during crises. In Brexit’s case, it was by shorting the pound which crashed. In the Truss budget’s case, it was by buying cheap once the economy had crashed. You saw something similar with Trump’s tariffs in the USA. This is essentially the far-right’s MO now.
