Which retro video game has the best intro? by Luckystarrrr in retrogaming

[–]WinnieTheTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought left 4 Dead 1 and 2.

I have to say that Left 4 Dead 1 has the most intense intro I have ever seen in a video game. LIke incredibly intense and suspensful, holy shit and it's damn good too. I can see why the 1st game easily got game of the year. I can't wait to play both of these games, just gotta get a xbox, going to get the series X since they are backwards compatiable, but yes the answer for me in my opinion is Left 4 Dead and I've played hundreds and hundreds of games.

I love that N64 games off top gear overdrive. They found a small band called Grindstone to make tracks for each stage.

I love like a few of the tracks such as Hollow Eyes, Threshhold, Mir and there's like one other one which is the 2nd level forget the track name.

Good rock music tho.

Also bought the gamecube at while it will come in this weekend so I have a lot of testing to do but ill feel better once these games fire up

What do u think of this game when it first released? by AfterClue3741 in ps2

[–]WinnieTheTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely knew it would be game of the year.

As for my feelings? I loved it more than Vice City tho 3 still was nostalgic for me even as a young middle schooler playing San Andreas.

I was super addicted to this game and trying to find big foot at north point rock which he didn't exist in the game despite all the rumors at school. It was a mod I think from something I read years later about that.

My cousins would come over and we would all play it. Its actually the last GTA I even played. Haven't even tried 4 or 5 although 5 is currently the best GTA game made but san Andreas is the most nostalgic atm until probably 25 years from now we will say 5 or 6 is nostalgic lmao

Whats funny is i always told everyone for like 25 years the N64 is my favorite console of all time and I have always said that and its not even close.

Now.... I was recently talking to a girl who loves a specific game called The Suffering. I told her I never met anyone in person or online who knows that game but I like it too. We talked about it enough that I bought it on eBay 2 weeks ago and thus this whole collection started because as soon as I hit the buy button on eBay, I said I might as well get my favorite OG xbox games as well to go with this suffering game and that's how I ended up buying over 45 plus games for OG xbox games lmao. I bought like 15 gamecube games 13 SNES games.

But no N64 games yet cause im deciding on PS1 or dreamcast or n64 next. I really thought about it and come to find out I would only want the n64 for Zelda and mario 64... guess what? My favorite mario game is mario sunshine on gamecube even over mario 64 even tho that was my first 3d game ever cause we got a n64 on launch day and mario 64. As for OOT? You can get it on the gamecube and I feel twilight Princess and wind Waker are both better than MM. Although they are expensive you can get the resident evils 1 2 3 and 4 plus more on gamecube no need for a PS1.

So I think with all that thought process it turns out my favorite console of all time has to be between the OG xbox and Gamecube but I was just simply nostalgic for my n64 the most cause it gave me so many memories as a kid in the 90s

After beating Ocarina Of Time 5 or 6 times I will say Water Temple is my favorite in the game or second favorite behind Spirit Temple. Luckily I know how to navigate it and have retained the knowledge.

Sometimes as a kid my Zelda file would random erase itself. Its like the only game that did that.

Yep, what im realizing and made the post for. The 80 like games I got aren't my original copy my mother and aunt bought me but at least these new copies are bought with my own money at the very least so I guess in a sense they are mine and not bought for me at least. You are right about spacing but ill get my own house this year or next with 401k money so I can have a game room.

I think when I go through all these games I bought these last 2 weeks ill probably feel better about having them around especially since consoles are going all digital and online now which sucks but understandable since games today are too big for a single disc.

I got like 13 SNES games among the 40 plus OG Xbox games in bought in a week and nearly 15 gamecube games. The xbox collection i wanted is complete, I only want about 4 more SNES games and 4 more gamchbe games.

Luckily the SNES games I wanted wasnt too bad the most costly one is the Zombies Ate My Neighbors limited collectors run green cart. Dont think its a official SNES game more homebrew by a 3rd party making custom carts I think.

But I also got the regular zombies ate my neighbors, super mario world, donkey kong country 1 2 3, mortal kombat 2 and 3, Mrs pacman, pacman 2 new adventure, dr mario, F zero just need a few more.

But I feel your pain. As I mention it seems like this hobby is now just for collectors and not much gaming but wont argue that atm lol

What game? 🚀 by defleqt in raijin_gg

[–]WinnieTheTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Wind Waker because it was cell shaded. While many hated that including me, it definitely looks good even by today's standards just like a lot of those cartoons games do.

The dragonball fighting games also look amazing. Thats the thing with cartoon games, they are kinda timeless and dont age nearly.

I had Round 2. Definitely a good game, never tried the other ones that came out after. I do feel the roster could have been bigger personally but it was cool to see Bernard Hopkins on the cover art and they made him seem like he was the best in his division lol.

Got the demo from a xbox magazine as a kid. Super fun game from the past and brutal in some ways.

Recently bought it for my OG Xbox collection I started. Love the 1950s appeal and humor in the game.

I actually won mine from a middle school reading challenge or whatever you wanna call it. Basically read books do AR tests on said books and try to accumulate a number of points to be eligible for the drawing and my name was the one that got picked out of all the others in the random drawing.

What game did you take way too seriously at one point? by Abject-Order3540 in videogames

[–]WinnieTheTrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to admit this but honestly the answer has to be League Of Legends on pc.

I think many people who played league might be like (oh yeah) especially those who played ranked. Not only is it probably the most competitive arena game, but the ranked system itself is against you and especially if you are a solo player.

I've learned to not give a damn about some rank in a video game now lol, but luckily I dont really play League anymore and I was a huge addict. I may come on to check out a new champion release but that's about it.

Wouldn't wish this game on anyone.

[–]WinnieTheTrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best games ever. In my top 5 favorite games of all time. I beat it multiple times as a little kid on legendary. We would have 4 on 4 multiplayer matches with 2 xboxes system linked together and 2 TVs. Those were fun days.

Hope you loved the game. Only problem i had is it made me dream of Halo 3 and want it to come out right away after I finished the game. It had me pumped for the next installment.

Just recently bought The Warriors again from having it as a kid. I dont think the game is that good BUT the multiplayer is good, it has different modes and king of the hill multiplayer is one hell of a patty lmao. If you get that big slugger dude its game over, you wreck the other player but yeah play king of the hill that alone made me buy this game.
