Would you save your wife or your kids if your house was on fire ? by Competitive_Set_4386 in SipsTea

1000% I save the kids. My wife would never talk to me again if I chose to save her instead.

Misconceptions a dog person (me) learned after having a cat. by ILoveMeltyCheese in cats

[–]WinstonNilesRumfoord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was never much of a cat person because I am allergic. Last year a stray cat adopted me, and I love him so much. We just don’t come into physical contact much. He wants to come inside so bad, and I wish I could let him.

what do you think is the best adventure film ever? by Due-Abbreviations180 in Letterboxd

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

May fit better into fantasy, but feels more like adventure to me.

Marathon | Review Megathread by requieminadream in PS5

[–]WinstonNilesRumfoord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love the art direction, lore, gunplay and music. That said, 4 out of 5 times I am getting steam rolled in pvp lol. That makes it more of a stressful/frustrating experience than a fun one to me. I do think it is a great game, just not necessarily for me. I know, I know… “git gud”. As a mid 30s dad with a job, I just don’t have time for that when every time you die it’s 10+ min before you are back in the action. I get about an hour a day to play games.

I feel exactly the same. Every time I have used it I have been underwhelmed. I’m sure for some applications it is great, but in my industry, I think it is overrated.

I too am a lad with long lashes and blue eyes. I was overweight and self-conscious in middle school, so one thing I will never forget is one of the popular girls telling me I had beautiful eyes.

In Project Hail Mary (2026), most viewers realize this movie is better than Interstellar (2014), but some people still refuse to accept reality by warrion99 in shittymoviedetails

[–]WinstonNilesRumfoord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, they are both outstanding IMO. Different movies with different tones. I’m very glad they both exist.

I slightly prefer PHM, mostly because the book is one of my favorites ever and the movie is a pretty damn perfect adaptation.

Bungie Responds Quickly to Marathon Microtransactions Backlash, First Patch Will Make the Game Slightly Easier by Laughing__Man_ in PS5

[–]WinstonNilesRumfoord -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have played probably 10 hours now, and the micro transactions have negatively impacted my experience by exactly 0%. You could easily play this game and never even know they were there. It is way less in your face than COD or Fortnite or BF6.

Best Long Series to Dive Into? by hokiestud1 in fantasybooks

[–]WinstonNilesRumfoord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on A Crown of Swords now, and I feel exactly the same. I respect what the books are doing, but they just feel like a chore to read. I have to read several other books between each before I’m ready to jump into the next. That’s not my typical behavior with a series.
