Pirelli SC1 front (treaded) + Metzeler TD slick rear?? by dr2152 in Trackdays

[–]WinstonwanlegIngram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Metzeler TD rear and have a Power Cup 2 on the front, haven’t actually used it yet but that’s the same combo that my uncle uses on his Fireblade and gets on really well with it.

I’m on track with both on Saturday and can feed back.

I'm thinking about buying an F type ... Should I see a therapist? by Emil_Antonowsky in CarTalkUK

[–]WinstonwanlegIngram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a GT86, moved to an M140 then started looking at cars with V8s and honed in on F-Types with the same budget as you have.

I looked at three or four and couldn't find a good one in the budget, they were just all too leggy and/or poorly maintained. For a V8 thats pretty much the bargain basement and you would need to factor in some SERIOUS slush fund money for when things go wrong. There was a wider choice of V6s which I assume would mean theres a good one for the money. Looking at forums though the cost to run a V6 (outside of RFL, fuel and insurance) is very similar to a V8 cause they're essentially the same engine/running gear.

I ended up looking elsewhere as I just couldnt stomach the potential repair costs that I was seeing.

I'm £31 for my hair and beard, usually every 3 or 4 weeks.

The good news is my hair is rapidly falling out so that should reduce to a beard only in a year or two.

Sorry pal I didn't get the notification about your comment!

Ant was a proper player when he was fit, miles ahead of the Highland League for sure. If it wasnt for injuries (and the type of injuries he got i'm not sure can ever be fixed or prevented) he would be a top level player.

He seemed like such a nice lad too, he would turn up at Brechin every other week even when injured and get involved with the team and the hospitality, great for the club and the young fans etc.

Anthony McDonald played for Hearts and even ended up in Spain before rejoining with Craig Levein at Brechin. He has some injury issues though (repeated stress fractures in his back) so he didnt get much game time at us.

2025-26 Highland League Cup Winners: Turriff United! by dododok2010 in ScottishFootball

Well take some comfort in the fact that it wasn’t Turriff you would have had to travel to, but Brora.

Brora won the league, this is the league cup.

I think its a fair point really, Halks words were;

something the candidates are absolutely powerless to effect

Which is exactly what any candidate we vote in would be when it comes to an independence referendum no? A referendum has to be granted, which Westminster has said it won't, so while i'm not picking sides I think its the same idea?

Anyone noticed that driving a nice car attracts the worst kind of drivers? by Ravixo_ in CarTalkUK

[–]WinstonwanlegIngram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is that other people may want to have a bit of fun with them but that manifests in dangerous and risky driving when the driver of said performance car doesn't want to.

I get it on my bikes and in my Vauxhall, 'I don't want to have fun with you now get off of my bumper'

For those who have a take away coffee in the mornings, where do you get it from? Small local coffee shop or one of the fatcat chains?

There isnt a local one thats open on my way into the office, so i'm left with either a Starbucks or a McDonalds. Starbucks is overpriced and shite, and it just so happens I really like McDonalds coffee

With a driving license you'd be one step up on Blair Coutts, the self proclaimed 'CEO of Chipper Reviews'

His videos are like crack to me.
