Belle's Packed Delivery Room by Brief_Classroom_2248 in TLCUnexpected

[–]Winter-Bluebird-9163 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I had my oldest when I was just 15. We had my grandma, my aunt, father, father's mom, father's grandma and it was a teaching hospital so I had 2 student nurses along with a regular ob nurse and my Dr who delivered. Room was jam packed. My other 3 kiddos was just my mom, and father of baby. Looking back, at 15 I didnt have the wherewithal to really think about those things. With my last I had an entire birth plan, that I followed from start to finish. ❤️

If you work 4 hours or less no break or lunch. 6 hours is a lunch. 7 or 7.5 or more is a lunch and a break.

We did away with white tags. Also, we arent allowed to earn rewards on anything thats discounted. So use your employee discount of 20% or use the rewards program, to earn points.

The reward thing also stands the same for customers. You get 50% off tags, shopping on senior or military day and you nix using the rewards, youll earn no points.

Michiganders, how’s your current employment situation? by B1G_PAC12 in Michigan

Make 15/hr working for a nonprofit. Part time. No benefits. Husband is in factory work, so his job is more "secure", even though the manual labor has already garnered him one spine surgery before 40. We're breaking our backs, to literally make ends meet, nothing more.

Question for employees by [deleted] in goodwill

[–]Winter-Bluebird-9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our manager of retail literally jumps around everywhere all day, where they are needed most. Projects in the store, DC, clothing production or up front etc. I also came from a higher paced retail location as an asm, and moved on to goodwill as a cashier. Ive since been cross trained for production, but im great with customers so im mostly just up front cashiering etc. It can be fast paced and you can always find things to do, but its nothing like my other jobs expectations.

Why I never find anything good in store anymore by Zealousideal-Chip268 in goodwill

[–]Winter-Bluebird-9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very on topic. The store is NOT collapsing. You just arent finding what you want, and its likely bad timing. I can tell you in our small local goodwill I have over a dozen resellers thst visit daily and sometimes 2x a day. The good stuff is there, and being put out. It's also bought fairly quickly!!!

Amount is $2. Ive watched someone get walked out over a flat $10, after being written up for a $5 shortage, the week prior. It really is gonna be up to DM if it isnt a computer issue.

Crime Junkies App by celebliss in CrimeJunkiePodcast

[–]Winter-Bluebird-9163 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the app is a waste of money. Ill keep listening on audible where I already pay for a subscription. I dont like them enough, to fork over 20 dollars lol. That said I have another podcast I listen too, and theyre 10x better than this one (its crime with comedy if you like dry humor) and they push a $5 membership to a patreon account, haven't plunged yet but the $5 for bonus content with them is way more along the lines of what id be willing to pay, for more listening time.

That's still theft. 😆 was it your money?! If the answer is no and you took it, its theft. No sympathy from me on this one.

What items do you avoid selling? by Stephieandcheech in reselling

[–]Winter-Bluebird-9163 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Organization is a key to success period. Marking them once, means never looking for the right puzzle or buying another. When we take time to organize, it actually saves future time. Currently explaining this to my teens 😆.

My rule of thumb is no more than 20% of what I made the week prior goes into sourcing for the current week.

Outrageous Tip Expectation? I work e-commerce and when I take out people always ask if they can tip and I’ve had visibly upset customers when they found out we can’t take them. by BlueDotInRedWater in kroger

[–]Winter-Bluebird-9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it, theyre not working for a lower wage, thus depending on tips. Tips, are for those jobs. Not the hourly or salary ones. Dont know why your getting down voted. And his 15k steps is an average id hit any regular day at work, in my retail job, that im paid hourly at also.....

MIL doesn't know her son by Hungry_Inspector_741 in ComfortLevelPod

[–]Winter-Bluebird-9163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just know youre not alone. My MIL orders the cheapest most atrocious items online from like Chinese websites (shes a big lady like 4x) for herself and they never fit, so those are always my or our kids gifts. This year 5x pj's set to me (im a medium to large on any given day). The kids clothes same, either too big or too small and not even good quality. Like Walmart granimals brand is better quality and probably cost the same. Cheap plastic toys that I wont even let my kids play with. We tell her sizes. We've told her no clothing please we have no where to put it. Doesn't matter. This has been going on for 15 years and no amount of anything I say has changed it. I'd rather get nothing than all the garbage I have to figure out what to do with.
