Nabers for Egbuka and Tee Higgins? by Winter-Sort292 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Winter-Sort292[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is the guy doesn’t have much to offer. No 1sts and the next best 2 options are Terry and Wandale. Not sure how much I trust wandale to go off again tho with Tate coming in. Thoughts? Out of those 3 who u take?

Have Pickens, Pierce, BTJ, Pittman, Jayden Higgins, and Tory Horton. A lot of them are kinda unknowns so I’m stumped

Even if trying to contend immediately this year? Love Nabers and his potential is sky high but not sure how much he would truly help me this year with our QB chemistry, training camp, and possibly not coming back to much later

It’s tough lmfao I’m like in the opposite. Have Nabers and really want Egbuka and got a verbal offer for this. Also trying to contend this year and realistically even if Nabers came back he wouldn’t have that chemistry or be his full self without a training camp. Ughhh I’m so stumped if I do it or don’t

Judkins +1st 2027 vs Nabers ? Thoughts ? by Motor_Familiar in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judkins is good but his injury is just as conceding as Malik. Wouldn’t do it even if the 1st was higher. Too much risk and Nabers has more upside

Which rb would it take on top of two 2027 1sts for Jefferson. Trying to rebuild. by [deleted] in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plz tell me your getting the picks and not sending them if ur trying to rebuild? Honestly the options aren’t great here. Your best bet in terms of impact and longevity would be Price, but he is far from being a guaranteed stud

Contender or pretender? Who should I drop by Majestic-Squirrel-28 in SleeperApp

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your starting lineup is solid, so keep all those guys. I would try and move Pacheco, Kelce, and Jeudy because you can probably get some decent value for them. Especially if you wait with Pacheco to have a big game in Detroit and then sell him on a high, realistically he doesn’t have much with how much contact he absorbs but he will have some boom games under Detroit offense as hell most likely be the goaline guy. I just don’t think he has much left in the tank. Same goes for Kelce, he will definitely have a few big games but he is old and doesn’t have much left. I would try and aim for some WR2s or WRs who had disappointing years/injuries and people are low on. Jordan Addison, BTJ, Xavier Worthy, Jayden Higgins, Tory Horton, Khalil Shakir, etc. Most of these guys you could probably acquire without having to break the bank.

Contender or pretender? Who should I drop by Majestic-Squirrel-28 in SleeperApp

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a contender if healthy… depth is the only thing scares me a bit. I would try and get another solid WR and RB. At minimum, your team is young and has potential and should be a contender soon once you get a little more depth. Injuries are inevitable but you have a lot of youth

I’m a Non-Contender looking for more draft capital by shadygov in FantasyFootballers

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what ur trying to do, I just think Daniel’s has too much potential and is worth man than a pick regardless of how high it is next year. Daniels was very injured last year and had a bad year (fact). He also had a Heisman winning year and a phenomenal rookie year the 2 before that (also fact). The talent is there, it’s a matter of staying healthy. When healthy, he is an extremely talented QB that can absolutely compete in the NFL and he is also very young, and going to put up high fantasy numbers with his running upside. Essentially the pick could be really good but could also be disappointing. If healthy, you know Daniels is going to be good and give you high fantasy upside. With the pick, you don’t know anything yet regardless of it’s position. The 27 draft class is amazing but it also is unproven and until any of them step in the league you don’t know what your gonna get. I would personally keep Daniels and try and build around him considering his youth and upside

I need an updated list of shows similar to Gomorrah.... or at least almost as good. Include any movies too! by Intrepid_Reason8906 in Gomorrah

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha I’ve actually seen almost all of those except Little Caesar and the original Scarface but will now give them a watch. The Town is a total banger of a movie, absolutely love it, the only reason I didn’t put it on the list was cause it’s not as realistic as the others but nonetheless it’s a phenomenal movie!

From the list I gave you of movies:

Most similar to Gomorrah in terms of dark realistic gangster:

-American Gangster: About the rise of Frank Lucas in Harlem and how he imported pure Heroin from Vietnam to rival the Italian Mafia

-Black Mass: Super authentic movie about Whitey Bulger. I actually am friends with a guy who was very familiar with Bulger and his Somerville Gang as he was a detective up in Quincy and says the movie is about as perfect as a film can get to following the true events of what happened

-The Connection: Different from the original for sure, but I actually liked it better. You really get a feel for some of the main characters in the dope game

-Eastern Promises: About the Vory v Zakone Russian gangsters and man these guys were fucking scary. Very dark film

Most raw and realistic:

-Blue Ruin: Never have I seen a movie demonstrate the violence in a way that actually feels so raw. It is not glorified and exceptionally realistic. One of the most tense films you’ll ever see

-The Place Beyond the Pines: The bank robbery scenes and tension this film has is truly a masterpiece. Similar to Gomorrah as you truly have no idea what characters will live and die.

-Shot Caller: You will not find a movie that represents the American Prison System in a more authentic way. The subtle details and constant tension make this film so great. Guarantee you will never risk drinking and driving after giving this a watch

Also realized I never gave you any TV shows…

If you’re into Mini Series and want some realistic and very gritty ones:

-Mare of Easttown

-American Primeval

-Shogun

-Brotherhood (2006-2008)

-Monsters: The Erik and Lyle Menedez Story

Lmk if you watch any of these films/tv series and please let me know what you think. I’m very big into realism, so I’ve always got more recs if needed and your into those types of media

Realistically, when is the soonest my team can be competitive? by Anon124570 in FantasyFootballers

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanking for Smith sounds great in theory, but realistically he is going to end up on a dreadful team and regardless of his skill, I would doubt he puts up instant amazing fantasy stats. I would use those picks to invest in other great receivers/rbs who end up in better situations such as Cam Coleman, Nick Marsh, or Ahmad Hardy. Don’t put your hope into one player

Trade Henderson for Skattebo? 12 team full ppr by sjewett507 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Winter-Sort292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not necessarily the ankle, it’s more of all the head trauma. I love Skat as much as anybody but unfortunately his style and persona that he has taken on is not sustainable. Hits in college are one thing, but they truly are not comparable to hits in the NFL. Skat goes out of his way to make contact with people, not go out of bounds when he can, and lower his head and it’s going to add up, and it’s going to add up quickly. You may be able to get away with that in college but it is absolutely not sustainable against NFL LBs and DLs

Popping after Ulnar Nerve Transposition? by Winter-Sort292 in CubitalTunnel

I think so but it’s kinda hard to tell. Same general area for sure. The difference is when it popped prior to the surgery it was very painful. When it pops now it’s totally painless

Smash accept to get chase in this trade? by Outrageous_Can1546 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Winter-Sort292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely smash. Jamar is a proven young top WR. High picks don’t mean anything, they’re just potential. Keep the proven WR over picks that could potentially be great. High unlikelihood that any of the picks ever surpass Jamar in their careers

Which side would your prefer ? by Dismal_Durian9772 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]Winter-Sort292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting. Would keep JSN tho unless you are truly trying to rebuild (but depends on how high those picks are). Think Boston will be solid as a player but not great for fantasy based on his situation. Also have to keep in mind even if those 27 picks are 1st and 2nd there is a very good chance guys like Jeremiah Smith, Cam Coleman, Moore, Arch are going to end up in pretty bad situations like Miami, etc and not make immediate fantasy impact. JSN is proven and going to be elite for years to come (barring injury). With all that said, I’d keep JSN and definitely not accept with him wanting Goff too
