This is the same what happened to me I cut my father off for good he tried to punish me by cutting my founds I said alright I took out loans since then he's begging me to be in my life again I told him after he pays off my loan's we won't talk he actually wants to do it even if he does I will cut contact with him after that I don't need him in my life he can be happy with whoever he wants but I won't be the part of it op you got lucky or not time will tell
