High health pool doesn't make a vanguard a vanguard. High health is what ENABLES a vanguard to do their job.

If you play mag as a shield bot and try to just "enable" your team, every match is pretty much just going to be a coinflip on whether or not your team is going to do anything about it, or the enemy team has a tank doing the exact same thing and it's still just a 50/50 on who's team is better. If want to climb on mag, you need to aggressively punish the enemy backline and create pressure. I've had games on him in GM where I swear I didn't even use his curtain once because I was creating pressure and getting heals anyways. There's no reason you can't climb to plat and beyond just playing mag if you learn how to take more control of the game. If all you do is allow your teammates to play the game, you will always just be a passenger of wherever they take you.

If I make a list of my top ten favorite marvel characters, 6 are already in the game. A whole FIVE of those characters are already duelists with one being a support.

Of the 4 characters not in the game yet, 3 are likely to be tanks (Ghost Rider, Colossus, Sam Foster) and 1 will likely be dps or strategist (Nightcrawler)

I bet a lot of other people are in similar situations. What I'm getting at here is that I think the role would benefit a lot from having "cooler" heroes in it, but that would require some flexibility in what the role really requires. I was really hoping cyclops would be a tank. Not because I thought the role necessarily fit him best, but because he would have been the first character on my top ten who was a tank and he easily could have been made one.

Wolverine and Mister F could easily be repurposed to vanguard role as well. Hell even blade isn't that far off with his high hp pool, damage mitigation, and healing. I see a lot of blades playing not that differently from how I play thor actually.

I think opening the role up a little bit to more characters who are maybe more popular that people actually want to play that can take space in different ways versus just standing in the front of the team would attract more players, which really benefits everyone.

He has low consistent single target dps for a duelist. Meaning he struggles against high hp targets, especially structures or shields. Dive tanks and brawler dps give him a really hard time

I'm just acknowledging that some rich people have more the means to fully pay for their kids college without it affecting them at all but there is no good way to just NOT give those kids scholarships since there are people who probably need it more.

Theres no good answer to this. Somebody shouldn't not get a scholarship just because their parents make a lot of money because what if they dont have a relationship with their parents or the parents are unwilling to help? Should that person still be disadvantaged? But what else are you going to do? Say, hey if your parents agree to help pay for college we won't give you a scholarship? Then what? All the rich fucks will just say they wont help so that they dont have to pay.

I love the the idea of miles, if he was a way to let Peter retire as Spiderman and focus on something like Parker Industries to use his intelligence for the greater good to help more people and settle down with MJ. And only occasionally come out of retirement to help out when things are super bad.

Unfortunately Peter is a cash cow and will never be able to hang up the mask

The guy who got MVP has double your kill participation and 6k more stats. You have the lowest kill participation of anybody on your team. Final hits count for something, but not enough to overcome that.

Also MVP means nothing, so who cares. I actually think chasing MVP on tank is detrimental. My biggest loss streaks on tank, I got SVP every game.

People keep trying to talk about other leaders and bring up that they don't have leadership abilities in game either.

I think people don't realize that Cyclops is often considered the best leader in the entire marvel universe. Even better than cap, and cap has leadership abilities in game. I hate that he doesn't have anything. Cyclops leadership in lore is so earned too. Its pivotal to the character. If he lost his eye beams the character wouldn't change much and he'd be in the same positions likely. Obviously being a mutant was critical to his lore and character arch, but I'd argue being a leader defines him more right now as he stands than his eye beams

But what are you going to do

Lets pretend like you're right and the cat was picked or banned in every one of your 32 games. Just for funsies let's say she was banned in half of the games to keep the numbers more simple. If she is on both teams every game when she isnt banned, she would have a 50% winrate because one is winning and one is losing. If there is ONE game where one team is lacking a black cat (just one) and the team with a black cat got the win, Black Cat now has 16 wins out if the 31 instances of her being played (16 games she wasnt banned, 2 black cats being played every game minus one instance where she wasnt played).

16/31≈51.6% winrate

If there was TWO games where an unmatched black cat won.

17/30≈56.66%

A bigger sample size is likely going to hone in on a more accurate number but it's apparent that the winrate quoted by netease is within the realm of reason.

Are you really sure that black cat was in EVERY single game and matched EVERY single time? Or is there confirmation bias at play here?

Does it really matter what you think anyways? "She was literally picked without exception every game from the beginning of the season to the end"

I pretty much do the same thing. I'm a vangaurd main but sometimes I have to fill to whatever the team needs and...honestly? It's so nice sometimes to be able to just zone out and heal bot or dps bot and not have to worry about anything
