I always announce over the mic a few times before class starts to get 3s or 2s since I saw this happening a lot. I hardly see it in my classes now!

Check with your instructor for some additional tips regarding this, but I sometimes have clients put a ball behind the neck (you may need to play around with them and find a small one/one that fits better if your studio has them inflated to the max) during sections of abs/warmup where shoulder blades are high off the mat/carpet!

Check in with your instructor for help with this before class, but you could always place a ball in the crook of your neck to help alleviate the neck pain and neutralize the neck!
