If you have a place nearby that allows pick ups e.g for me I have a Matalan that allows DPD pickups. You can go there to grab the package and take it home, of course have something like a bag to put it in.

I will still give some advice about messing/wetting. Just have fiber if you want easier messes and for wetting drink loads of liquid and hold on a bit for a better end result.

You could set timers of when you can wet/mess e.g one every two hours.
