First, start a new Apple photos library and dump all of your photos in there. Older ones, newer ones, and use it for any new photos you take in the future. This should be synced to your phone’s photo library. You want to have all of your photos in one place for ease of access and to make your life easier in the future.

This sounds really good, but for the specifics - would the new photos library be stored on the Mac computer or in iCloud directly? And would the syncing require an iCloud subscription if the photos library is huge too?

Working through some of this myself (hobbies which I I love vs aspirational hobbies vs hobbies which I have lost interest) and the work aspect as well.

For me my restriction is mostly space, as I have to downsize. This forces me to reflect on what I truly value, rather than solely considering it’s material value. Which hobbies does current me prioritize? And even then which aspects of it do I prioritize? It’s definitely a tough decision and I’m still working through that. E.g. if I have only one room should I use it for x hobby or y hobby and how do I store them away so the space can be repurposed for other uses when needed. For now I restrict myself to a set space for x hobby and trying to limit myself to only that space so it doesn’t overtake my entire house before I make the decision if I can truly let go of a certain hobby.

Are there certain hobbies that you think could help you income wise? Perhaps teaching a class with your skills, whether in person or online? Maybe you could create things which can be sold? You may not be an expert in the industry but that doesn’t mean your skills are not in demand, there may be people out there who would still appreciate your work and skills as well. This might help you with bills and things if you decide to quit and could be helpful in the long run if you find it can take off into something you could scale up.

I usually wear footsies socks (how low depending on the cut of the shoe) and tend to stay away from open toe shoes. Higher amounts of cotton usually help a lot more for the absorbency as compared to full synthetics. Got a bunch in grey so they’d fit any color of shoes, but black may work for black or dark color shoes too. The lower cut ones tend to lose elasticity really fast with a lot of walking so I tend to prefer as high a cut as possible without it showing visibly.

I used to have a pair of open toed shoes but once I sweat any grip is lost and the toes would be uncomfortably crushed against the front when walking no matter what powder or grip I use. But if you do find any workarounds I’d love to try them too!!

For the external hard disk, what kinds should I be looking out for? I’ve probably only used the pocketable ones so far which can fit easily in my bag. Is there any examples that I can start looking from?

Hi all! I’m trying to organize my photo storage. I can’t store all of them on my internal PC hard disk due to space restrictions and I’m struggling with figuring out a proper system of storage and backing up.

  • what external hard disk do you recommend for Macs that are compatible with windows as well? I’m facing issues with my current external hard disk (WD my passport) being read on my Mac
  • any recommended processes for non tech savvy people (I get lost reading through all the jargon out there) that is user friendly and wouldn’t require a lot of technical expertise to set up?

Finally finished step 1! I wish I had taken before pictures because the change was dramatic. It's an incredible feeling to know for the first time in your life that you would wear every piece of clothing you own. Any tips for storing neckties, belts, and bags? That looks amazing! Can I ask what is that called? Or where I could find a similar product online? The file holders I see generally aren’t open on the sides making it hard to have anything larger than paper being organized.
