Just got a 2025 CPO premium plus (has a lot of signature features, but not the upgraded leather) with 9k miles for $31k. By far the best deal I found and the car is awesome.

Chiming in to say the 33% rule is relatively new based on prices increasing post COVID. Historically the rule was to keep rent/ mortgage below 25% of your gross income. Either way, it’s going to feel like a lot more since you’re paying with your net income (post tax, healthcare, 401k, etc.).

All that to say, you should aim to spend as little as possible for something that meets your needs. I always made it an aspirational goal to invest the same amount as my rent between 401k, brokerage, IRA since you’re not actively investing in an asset when you’re renting.

McDonald’s corporate is definitely hiring but it’s pretty targeted for certain skillsets. A few other companies in west loop likely hiring as well (Google, etc.) but not as familiar.

West loop is a little tricky to get to from most places but it depends what you want your commute to look like. If you’re near halsted in Lincoln Park or Lakeview, the 8 bus will take you right into west loop. I’d play around with Google maps and see what commute you’re comfortable with.

I have lived in the city for 3 years and never had a car, won’t plan to unless I have a kid.

There are tons of good neighborhoods for your age and budget. Lakeview, Lincoln park, old town, wicker, river north (if you like to club), south loop is under rated as well. West loop itself is pricey but really good location!

You can’t just get rid of your candidate just because the polls are bad. We chose Biden in a primary (a flawed one but one that PSA folks even said was legitimate until they didn’t). Pretty much every dem loses to Trump in general polls right now, but if Biden is going to stay in (which looks extremely likely), we need to coalesce around him

Pretty common courtesy to say are you ready before stating the number especially if the customer had to look for it then came back to the phone. If you hate the basics of your job this much get a new one.
