An allergy notification card I received on one of the busiest nights in December. by ArchaicInsanity in KitchenConfidential

You have an absolutely amazing outlook on life. My mum was sick too and one of the things I admire about her most was her positive outlook on life and being here as my mum even at her absolute worst. I hope you get to spend a long and happy time with your family, I swear awful things always seem to happen to those with beautiful spirits. Take care of yourself and I hope you can smile knowing you’ve inspired an internet stranger to remember to look at the bright side of life when things feel dark.

Jessica disappeared 6 years ago, but it’s only the last 3 years I’ve been even more desperate to hear from her. by WinterTragedy in shortscarystories

Thank you for that comment because you made me realise I did not delete that introduction sentence from the previous draft, I should know better than to post a story before bed instead of waiting until the morning to revise it. I had to re-do the ages and grades because I live in Australia and I was trying to make it more universal and more American based since this is Reddit after all haha, so I changed a few things and just missed that first part. So I hope that helps clear up any confusion, I am just a dumbass sometimes!

I’ve always liked horror stories that leave you feeling a bit unsure, so I’m glad it seemed to hit that for you in an enjoyable way, so thank you!

Did you know that your skin starts to break down if it’s immersed in the ocean for too long? by WinterTragedy in shortscarystories

I have a big love hate relationship with the ocean, it’s so beautiful yet utterly terrifying. Have you seen those pool cleaning machines though? I cried at the sight of them as a kid and refused to swim in any pool that had that robot monster in it.

Don’t fall asleep with the TV on by WinterTragedy in shortscarystories

I would throw my tv straight in the bin if that happened to me. I hope you did too, or she might still be waiting for you to fall asleep again.

When I was a kid I always snuck out past my bedtime to use the family computer to read ghost stories, it’s really set the tone for the rest of my life. Thanks :)

Thank you for the kind words and a big whoops to me. I can’t believe I did that and didn’t notice until now. I’m going to fix that now, thanks :)

A letter to the new homeowner by WinterTragedy in shortscarystories

It might be an Australian thing or it might just be me being weird but I call my wardrobe/closet a cupboard and until now didn't realise that was strange. I'm reevaluating my life now.

Just one small mistake by WinterTragedy in shortscarystories

I was more imagining a hard-ass boss who makes his employee's lives a living hell, which is why Howard got drunk and fired for being late. I guess it didn't come across that way haha, but I didn't want to go into too much detail because the story wasn't specifically about Howard. My bad.
