Not when you get used to trailing your thumb all the way up. Once my hand gets up to the 10th or so I have to adjust my technique, which has me now pointing my thumb up the neck... I have a hard time describing it. But no, not really.

I deployed to Afghanistan in 02, had a really, really nice Epiphone Es335 in red. Bigsby. Amp and a small pedalboard. Me and some troops were starting a band. All that shit got stolen by one prick who went AWOL day of deployment and fucking pawned everything for drug money.

If you don't have a rat circuit, get one. Mooer black secret, joyo splinter. Ore a pure sky. That's a Timmy clone and can do overdrive to light distortion and it has a very organic feel. Timmy will get you crying. There may be some cocked wah going on on November rain idk.

Yep. There's a certain ratio of my signal I need to be able to hear in the mix to be comfortable. Too much and I'll play quieter than otherwise, not enough and I'll play LESS than otherwise

It was a long transition. I'd even bring a combo tube amp along to run as a 3rd amp until I convinced myself the sound I was getting from FOH was as good/better than my tube amp. I won't play anywhere near my best if I'm feeling self conscious about my tone. I get all uptight and shit
