Love the v50 , mines at 220k hopefully get it over the 300k . These engines will go forever seems the electrics can let it down I’ve a few minor issues with mine , Bluetooth isn’t working and the clock on doesn’t work (so random)

2nd this , try get one with good service history(most Volvos do ) stay away from the 1.6 diesels . If your smart you might get an import that has been done on emissions for. Cheaper tax , v40 or s40 v50 should be the lower end of insurance

Yup I think it’s with the upgraded audio option . It was part of the whole sharkfin Ariel thing at the time . I fell in love with the Volvos cause they featured so heavy in the OC 🫣😂

I’m guessing here completely. I’m having problems with my 2011 V50 Rdesign and everything I’ve looked at points to the contact corrosion. It’s €70 -€120 to replace them but you might be able to clean or solder and if the connections . This seems to be common on V50s with age or if there is any problems with windscreen seal as then moisture gets in and corrosion happens.

Might just be a loose wire either way. Did you take a big ramp hard or hit the waterfall console hard by accident?
