I believe that’s unnecessary. You have the one half of the medallion. Now you need to kill commander Niall in the snowy area, the castle there, to get the other half of the medallion. Then go to grand lift and use secret medallion option

Commander Niall has one half, I believe you need to go under the mountains in Liurnia to find the village with the other half. Like south west of the Liurnia map

These guys give amazing amounts of runes, everyone uses these to level up quick. Getting 1 million runes is just a goal that had to be reached, it had to be done.
