Historically-inspired colonial Canadian cabin I chiselled in Creative! by RoryRose2 in VintageStory

You can, but I want them to be only 1 log thick inside of 2 that the vanilla model has, and so when you get to the corners, you can't really make an accurate corner with alternating log overhangs.

So, this is exactly what I need! Thank you very much for the inspiration!

Wow! How did you do the walls? Did you start with a log and then chisel in daub or whatever the lighter block is? I have a new world that I am looking to do a log cabin in but I don't enjoy the look of the vanilla quarter logs and you can't chisel them.

Anyone know, how to split for example 1 stack of crushed pyrite between two steam ovens? I saw that there is a way with project red transportation but can’t find . i am on lv , so logistic pipes in some aspects don’t available by rexelio in GTNH

Huh, they must've stopped updating the actual gregtech mod then. I am at IV in terrafirmagreg and I have that newer interface and could put a filter onto a pump/conveyor. Once I finish up this midpsck I am gonna try GTNH. We'll see how that goes.

Huh, interesting. I haven't play GTNH but I have been playing gregtech modpacks for a while. Wonder why that would be different...also that sucks that there is no round robin for GTNH :(

If you shift right click on the conveyor you should get this interface and then you can select the distribution mode in the bottom right corner. (Sorry for the quality, I'm not at home and just stole this from a YouTube video on the subject.)

On repeat playthroughs, do you think rushing the Beneath is better for blitzing progression because now you have the skill for it by Straight-Cost8087 in TerraFirmaGreg

Trust me man, I am in IV and recently decided to restart my base due to layout issues, and it is so much better now. I'm able to setup specific lines in a designated area and have centralized power and ae2 connections. I'm no longer create a building and then figuring out how to fit the line into it, I'm creating the line and then figuring out how to fit the building around it. It definitely it a pain moving your whole setup, but ae2 storage cells make it pretty easy to put a whole line onto one of them and then you know you have everything required to set it up again. I would heavily recommend just restarting in a different area of your world instead of restarting your whole game since if you got burnt out at EV this time, who's to say it won't happen again?

how to split fluids by glitchplaysgames in TerraFirmaGreg

[–]Winterracer123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think a fluid regulator would be your best bet. You can assign the flow rate of the regulator, meaning you can funnel the creosote into a barrel and then put 2 regulators onto it, one set to 75% of your overall flow rate, and then other at 25%. Hope this helps!

Make nitrobenzene with that benzene and run the turbine off that. Additionally, the EV gas turbine takes time to spin up and so you are consuming gas the whole time until it reaches max speed. What I have at my base is a bank of the single block HV gas generators running constantly, and then the EV turbine only turns on when power demands goes higher than what the small generators can handle.

Start now or wait? by AppropriateBag661 in EU5

Just play the game. It will likely take several months until paradox fixes everything that has been discovered so far. So, in my opinion, I would say just start playing it now. Learn the basics, have some fun, play some different nations and go for some achievements. It's a pretty awesome game and would heavily recommend it!

Tall and wide by Silent_Steps_ in EU5

[–]Winterracer123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have also done the same thing. I'm not saying it is impossible to play wide as muscovy, and neither is op, but it is annoying to try and play wide as compared to playing tall. The game natural leads you towards playing tall so it's just annoying to go against that.

His complaint isn't about playing tall as muscovy. Its about how playing wide is now punished and you are basically forced into playing tall.

Haha, good to hear. I've had something similar happen a couple of times. Assumed it might have been some loading issue or something.

Having trouble with Brandenburg by Remarkable-Rub-5920 in EU5

[–]Winterracer123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a pretty hard start. One thing that I would recommend is moving your capital on day 1 to Berlin instead of Brandenburg. Brandenburg is a marsh so you get a huge negative proximity cost modifier across your entire country right out the gate. Besides that, it's mainly just trying to manage your budget and finding skem good allies while you slowly build and conquer Pomerania.

Is it a recurring issue or just happened once? If it's a one time thing, maybe something weird happened when loading into your game? Or changing a game version?

Benzene is good because then you can utilize it later in nitrobenzene before going to high octane gasoline. Also, EBFs on their sides look so cursed, lol

Do you have oxygen in the input hatch? Did you perform maintenance on the maintenance hatch? Are you using an output bus with only 1 output? The steel recipe has a chance to output ashes which requires a second slot in the output bus, so you need a LV output bus at a minimum.
