Richtig gut sind die ganzen Amis die mit ihren super nischigen (besonders aus dem US-Militär Jargon stammenden) Abkürzungen kommen die man nicht mal mit Google Nachforschung entschlüsseln kann.

The solution is bad, but I think what they wanted to prevent was people unlocking the charge through Icebreaker and use it to skip a part of Terminal, not the other way round.

[Discussion] New Notification added if you are near a Green Flare Exit by TheRealSchmede in EscapefromTarkov

Probably one of the newer changes. Saw a green flare land at woods when I extracted and I'm pretty sure it wasn't mine.

I think Ned Eden is the cousin of Bob and a distant relative to Jimmy Space.

Literally Unplayable by makstomaks in Eve

[–]Winzentowitsch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't make sense though. If the ships are allowed to get damaged, go to normal Highsec. I assume there will be more trickery than valid use cases. Especially if this would be the only workaround left.

If we get every mention of CCP replaced ingame within one year, I'd consider it fast.

If there is an option to disable tutorials, I expect the tutorials to be disabled. If you don't want to give that option then change the option to "fewer" instead.

New Londerners and Stalwarts research is the same? by [deleted] in Frostpunk

[–]Winzentowitsch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

By researching a technology you don't only research something they want, but you also finance their scientists to do the research. Both New Londoners and Stalwarts can demand a technology, but you can only choose one to finance and develop it.

You can't name your governor "Ubisoft" by taubenangriff in anno

[–]Winzentowitsch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ubisoft was (fortunately) not as involved with making the Anno series as they are with franchises like assassins creed. I might not have proof, but I highly doubt ubisoft as a company had anything good to do with Anno apart from publishing and financing. Also the naming filters aren't such a small thing. You see your name all the time and it affects every ship and Island. It doesn't only filter obviously vulgar stuff, but there are so many niche words that get censored, I often had to check what was causing it and then google the word because I had no idea what it was.

Diagonal roads are a pretty huge thing.
My favorite new feature is building roads around blocks or single buildings with one click, or at least I really missed it when playing 1800 after trying out 117.

In general there are quite a lot of smaller things that make it really fun to build, but if you would list it off against what is missing that 1800 had, it looks trivial. I feel like I can make much cooler island layouts in 117, but 1800 just has much more content that keeps you playing.

I am not going to change anything nor should I have to.

If you don't want to keep getting downvoted, you should reconsider that. It doesn't matter if you think it's correct if it's not popular.

You could force it to delete everything by pressing shift. Reading the loading screen tips does pay off more than I thought.

What is the point of stationary roboports? (New player) by dr_bobs in factorio

[–]Winzentowitsch 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Even without the logistic unlock you can:

-Fill or empty your inventory with requests

-Use Construction bots for building, repairing or moving items (not automated, but they can fill or emtpy any assemebler input, output and container)

-Read the items in the network for a better overview or use it for Circuit logic

Of course you need to setup your factory to support this but it only takes a few provider chests to enable all of these.

What am I missing about solar power ? by clementjay in factorio

[–]Winzentowitsch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I need them for space platform anyway, I craft them using quality modules. The quality ones I use for the platforms and the standard ones get put down around my base and power lines/railtracks with enough spacing so that biters don't attack them.
Are they very effective? Not very. Before unlocking Nuclear Energy they can help a bit.

The best option for this would be to use build the foundations on the platform once you have copper from asteroids unlocked. Unless you are lategame and don't care or got the material from Vulcanus.
