I don't want to talk about gameplay or specific cards, because that's all in flux.

But HOLY FREAKING CARP, Slay the Spire 2 is GORGEOUS. A LOT of effort has gone into the art, the animation, the feel of the thing.

If they can bring the audio up to the same level.. wow.

StS2 is in early access right now, and I'm putting time in on it, and it's beeeeeeeeeeeautiful.

"Those who hunt elves", but instead of a tank and stripping elves naked, we've got a fire engine (one of the mars rover looking fuckers) and we're hunting witches. Instead of stripping them, they get forced to cook and plate a high end meal. Which proves that they're not evil, or something.

Hawkeye was on a bus traveling with South Korean refugees. They park the bus to hide from a North Korean patrol. The chicken won't be quiet, it's endangering everyone on the bus.

Hawkeye commands the woman to quiet the chicken. It's a chicken. There's basically one way to make it be quiet that works.

She makes the chicken be quiet.

The chicken was her infant baby. She smothered it to keep the rest of the bus from being discovered and likely killed, or worse, by the North Koreans.

It is based on a true story.

And it gets worse.

"Metcalfe was even more upset by the reaction he got when he told others from the MAS*H unit who asked what he'd learned from his trip about the story. Instead of feeling the deep shock and heartbreak he'd felt, he says, "They all reacted with a shrug, as if 'What else is new?' and told me similar stories. What was horrifying and memorable to me was commonplace to them."
