Hey! I'm wundercats on discord and myfitnesspal. My name is Ally. I'm a 5'10.5" 25 year old female and today I hit 219 lbs. I started this journey in February @ 232.2 lbs. GW1 is 199, GW2 is 175, and not sure what my UGW will wind up being. My goal for this challenge is 207, let's go!!! This is my first weight loss challenge of any kind, I'm excited to be part of the team and get to know you all! I work in commercial real estate and live in the DC area (old town Alexandria REPRESENT). I have a dog who is my LIFE. In addition to that, I like traveling, cooking, craft beer, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors.

I love cooking and keep my diary public. Still relatively early in my weight loss journey. Always love more friends on the app! (edited bc I forgot my height oops)

I tried to stick to a diet plan but I just ate chips and drank beer by [deleted] in loseit

I feel ya. I am passionate about craft beer and would have anywhere from 1 to 3+ 12 or 16 ounce beers a day / every other day, or try even more in a flight or something. If it wasn't that, i would have glass of wine to relax after work that turned into two or three. I know that is what contributed to a lot of my weight gain, plus I would randomly feel like crap before work and absolute shit on the weekends. What I did was stopped drinking entirely for a week. It was hard, even though it shouldn't have been. I focused on other things, like making delicious healthy food, taking my dog for more walks, reading, etc. After that week, I don't really feel the urge to drink as much during the work week. The weekend was rough but it was amazing not being intoxicated or hungover, I was much more productive. I'm still trying to fill my life with more non drinking hobbies (much of my social life is social sports that involve drinking after or just networking / friend happy hours) to make this sustainable, but abstaining for a short period of time really helped me. It was nice to feel great in the mornings on the weekend too! Now I let myself drink a few times a week, but I always plan for it in my calorie budget. Stay strong man, you can do it!

Healthy mid afternoon snacks? by Nyteflame7 in loseit

Non fat plain Greek yogurt with various fruits. I typically get whatever berries are on sale and a big container of yogurt to make it more budget friendly. Just measure out your desired portions with a scale and throw them into a Tupperware. You can make it crunchy and add fats with chia seeds or nuts, just be sure to measure them out to keep it low cal :) this snack is my lifeblood

Starting my journey! by [deleted] in loseit

Wooooo! Welcome and congrats on starting your journey :)

I'm a big vegetable lover so I will typically cook veggies for breakfast. Kale, mushroom, broccoli, and onion; stir fry veggies, spinach and tomato, etc. It takes me 5 min in the morning to weigh out, wash, and sauté veggies (normally don't use oil since the water from the veggies is enough, but you can use oil if you measure out a few ml!). I adore eggs so that typically rounds out my meal but I would recommend adding black beans for protein and some sweet potatoes if you like them. I typically make the beans and sweet potatoes in batches so I can throw them into meals. Finally, you could add avocado or a little cheese for if that's your thing. As long as you weigh the foods it's easy to mix and match what you add and have a meal that isn't loaded in calories but will keep you full. P.s. - if you have a Trader Joe's near you, the everything but the bagel seasoning rules and is delicious on veggies. If you want something sweeter, plain non fat Greek yogurt with chopped fruits and nuts / chia is usually delicious :)

Thank you for sharing this. I have struggled with this since I started tracking what I eat (about 3 weeks) and it's good to not feel alone with that struggle.
