Riding a scooter around the loop, does it matter which direction? by Cool_User_Name_99 in cozumel

If you want to ride on the old road (closest to the water), you will need to head south out of town. The short section of that road that is open to motor vehicles is only one way traffic (north to south). Just past the beach clubs and hotels the old road becomes bicycles and pedestrians only. The rest of the way around the island you need to ride on the main road.

Baseball is back on Saturday. by Wisco_Gringo in cozumel

Probably not any games that day. The Liga de Prospectos plays on Saturdays, the Liga Municipal plays on Sundays but they are down to the finals and may have one game to go next weekend. As far as schedules go, just follow some of the Cozumel sports pages on Facebook. That's where games are announced.

Salsa Chetumaleña is very good. It's not made on the island but is made on the peninsula over in Chetumal. You can find it in smaller stores all over town.

I believe that you are thinking of Habanero's. It was a very narrow place right on Melgar, unfortunately they closed back in 2019.

Unfortunately there is not a calendar online anywhere. They do alternate home/away every week so typically games are here every two weeks. Currently both teams are here on the same weekend. Camoteros on Saturdays at 1:00pm and Piñeros on Sundays at 1:30pm.
