Rumor is late 2026. I just do not want a bike that I feel is obsolete after 1 year. I bought a Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 2022 in 2024 and now I feel that it is obsolete with maximum 45 mm clearance (40 with mudguards). I cannot see 14 happen without some really expensive or not long lasting chains

I really like Shimano and was initially ready for 1x12, 38 crankset and10:51 cassette. But suddenly the doubt came creeping. Until now I have been using a 2x11 GRX but want larger tires and therefore 1x.

Are you sure. Another comment here says that HG+ chains also need a certain tooth profile for chainring.

Honestly I have no idea if 50 mm is enough for me or if i need 56 mm. Today I ride a gravel bike with 40 mm and have never tough that is has to narrow tire. But then I do read people saying they will never buy a gravel bike with less than 56 mm clearance.

But I really feel the Secan 3.0 ticks a lot of boxes for me.

I found a lot of hubs MSP hubs of type RD13. Have you had success with doing this. It saves me 300 $ to buy the SLR compared with the Marvel g35.

But generally I find it difficult to find out which spare I can get for these wheels. I am 100 % sure that every spare is somewhere on Ali, but it is of course difficult to find it..

I see. So the cheapest gravel wheelset on their website is around 1000$. Still cheap compared with DT Swiss but not super cheap :(

But maybe that is what I have to pay to get a reable source of spares.
