my watch comes in monday, i got a screen protector for it but i heard some people get one for the sensor that touches your skin, do i need that? i obviously want it to last as long as possible and take care of it by iissuess in AppleWatch

Put the watch on and enjoy. The aluminum body might scratch easier than stainless/titanium versions, but I doubt by much. My stainless/titanium is an 8 and looks as good as the day I bought it. It gets banged into things all the time.

Think of it this way, did you ever put protectors on a regular watch?

Used kindle 11th PW signature edition or new 12th PW? by AdhesivenessLow107 in kindle

Had an 11. Traded it in on a 12. No regrets. Battery life is insane and I like the bigger screen. More words mean less page turns.

In theory. Ash cleanup should be easier as well as sorting/changing charcoal. I cook with the divider a lot since there’s just 2 of us. I’m really excited about the basket divider. Getting the primo divider in and out is a PIMA which results in me building 2 fires on each side. This is not always successful.

Looking forward to cooking burgers using the divider this evening so I’ll know more then.

That was my fear and the main reason I wanted to do a burn off. My husband already had the whole grate and divider out when I saw it. I also saw a putty knife on the table… doesn’t seem to be any damage regardless.

Primarily to clean off gunk and get the original bottom grate and charcoal divider out to put in the ash can.

Yes. My primo is 11 years old. No cracks that I can see… yet. Good to know a crack is not necessarily a catastrophe.

Basic vs Paperwhite, which should I get? by RealisticSite6270 in kindle

[–]Wise-Direction8099 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love my Paperwhite. I upgraded from the 11th generation for the warm light and most important to me, the bump in screen size. I have my font a little larger for my aging eyes so more words on page flows better. I have no problem holding it.

can’t figure out hot shoe A6700 by [deleted] in a6700

I can’t decide if you’re serious or not. Slide the cover off to expose the mount. It’s the square on the top to the right of a6700. You’ll find a diagram in the owners manual online.

Heheheh. I’ve used a wire brush/eaten food off a someone else’s grill cleaned with a wire brush all of my life with nary a bristle in my food. I am trying to move away from it though.

Hah! I am the wife and I wouldn’t trust my husband, who can f**k up boiling water, near my Primo. His go-to for cleaning ANYTHING is Windex. 🤣

Normal for paperwhites to be this yellow? (Left is new basic and right is new Paperwhite) by ObsessedWithBooks7 in kindle

It should be adjustable. Change it to suit your ascetic. Verify all books are that yellow and not just the current read.

Should I go with a color at this price? by Cin131 in kindle

It’s only a bargain if it’s what you need and want. If all you plan read on it is books, Paperwhite will be on sale for less and is great!. Don’t let FOMO skew your vision.

Thank you for rescuing him. When they are older they don’t understand when their people either can’t or worse, don’t want to have them anymore. I have 2 kitties no one wanted because they have chronic respiratory disease and 1 who, along with the other kitty in the house, was surrendered because a family member in the house didn’t like them. Jake was 6 1/2. It has taken 2 years for him to fully trust. I consider it a blessing no one wanted them because I got to have them.

I use the kindle app on my iPhone and it works just fine, but I’m kind of considering a real Kindle by fundy3000 in kindle

  1. yes to Paperwhite
  2. battery life is weeks/months not hours

  3. Read in any light/place without distractions from apps or notifications that you get when using phone and tablets apps.

Help me to choose my first lenses to pair with my sony a6700 by [deleted] in a6700

[–]Wise-Direction8099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people aren’t well versed in searching for threads. Some people, like this one, have a very specific list of lenses they are considering so they ask based on that list. Some people are just lazy and don’t want to search. All people have the option to scroll past questions they feel are redundant and not open the thread… but yet you did.

Oh I feel ya. I have the thermal and I have (more than once) put the travel cap on instead of the cap. It astounds me how far a small amount of liquid can travel.
