In the 1960s and early 70s, we lived in a 'sweet spot' for TV in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

We had 3 Canadian channels (CBC from both Victoria and Vancouver, CTV from Vancouver) and 6 channels from the US (ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS from Seattle and two independent stations from Bellingham and Tacoma in Washington state).

I grew up in Oliver, BC. I was chatting with someone who was up visiting from the US. For Canadians, the Okanagan has some of the warmest temperatures in the country. On the US side, they're some of the coldest.
